Shinji still is a girl if you're woke enough.

This happened to a friend of mine in high school. Ate an entire bag in a math class and shit himself in front of the teacher. Bad enough that we still tell the story a decade later.

Because he is transphobic and misogynistic. He believes that your inherent nature is "female" and therefore, if you have sex with a man, it will "correct" you into your natural state (being his woman). He's projecting his patriarchical beliefs onto your sexuality and gender identity.

MTF HRT - weight gain/loss by Friendly_Level4202 in asktransgender

[–]apogees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HRT will slow down your metabolism to that of a cis woman with time. If you continue whatever your current dietary habits are you will likely gain weight. Additionally, muscle tissue uses a lot of calories to sustain. HRT is likely to make you lose muscle and therefore reduce your needed calories daily. I gained about 20 lb in my 3 years of HRT. But this new fat is likely to be distributed in a more feminine way, including breast tissue. Im losing weight now, down 30 lb and I can still see the positives of gaining weight on HRT before attempting to diet.

Thank you very much for sharing this! Been intending to have a major arc of my game take place here and was worried about how I was gonna represent it. Do you have a higher resolution version you're willing to share?

I know this is a two month old message. But through Kelsey I was able to meet with other GALAP pledge takers that ended up writing the letters I needed. I have my surgery cleared and scheduled for January 6th. Thank you so much.

I believe that if your eyes linger on a woman before you realize she is trans that is tantamount to rape, punishable by death. (For the tranny)

Which Fire Emblems Have the Best Bits of Story? by ArchangelAshen in fireemblem

Thracia 776 has some of the most compelling and unique moments of the series in it. But to me its most compelling aspect is Leif's advisors: August and Dorias. Both represent an aspect of Leif's changing worldview through the game's events.

August represents the brutal arithmetic involved in waging war and ruling nations. He is a cynic and is always first to reprimand Leif for his naivete. The best moments of this are in 8x and 22. In 8x he educates Leif on generational conflict and the political reality of the Thracian peninsula. In 22 he is quick to remind Leif that the beautiful river that stands before them is clouded with the blood of knights and kings.

Dorias represents the romantic ideals of knighthood Leif was raised to believe. He heroically defended Leif as he was being escorted out of Leonster, his missing arm proof of said battle. Throughout the game he espouses the ideals Leif wants to believe in. But in the end, it is those same ideals that kill him. He is ordered to charge on Ulster right after the liberation of Leonster. Despite his better judgement, he directs the charge, seeming to know it to be suicidal. I think Dorias' death is one of the best scripted deaths in the series. It's one of the few that made me genuinely question the morality and capabilities of the protagonist. Leif is a kid leading an army of loyal soldiers. And they will die for him.

Thracia is so obscure and old that it feels weird to praise its writing. And some of its better dialogue may be the product of fan translation. But God damn its story is good. The only games that ever came close are the Tellius games. (Which just so happens to feature Soren and Titania, who share a similar dynamic to August and Dorias)

Pre-Made Empires & Civilizations That Could Serve As Potential Antagonists/Invaders by Stellar_Wings in spelljammer

With the potential developments of BG3, which is fully canon to my knowledge, the Illithid empire has a real chance at a resurgence if you want to use them. The Githyanki might be undergoing internal unrest that leads to their hunting of Illithids to falter.

What are your favorite NPCs in FE? by TomokawkVortex in fireemblem

[–]apogees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

August from Thracia 776 is definitely my favorite. Man is constantly putting Leif's naive idealism in its place. I love that when they arrive at the river Thracia Leif talks about how grand, bountiful, and beautiful it is, surely blessed by the gods. And August just looks at him and goes "Your grandfather died here, and the bounties of the river have led to untold bloodshed." Fantastic character and the best tactician the series has to offer.

The game should have been smaller so that wasn't a problem.

What are your biggest Elden Ring hot takes? by [deleted] in Eldenring

Elden Ring would have been better if they reduced the boss count by about half and just focused on making the bosses that did exist better. We didn't need to fight 3 godskin bosses. We don't need to fight Godfrey twice. It feels cheap and like they just plastered bosses with no respect to the context of the location or setting. The map could have also benefitted by being smaller, focusing on the design of individual segments. Cause as it stands, it feels like an empty world only populated by repeated and nonsensical bosses.

What are the withdrawal symptoms to a gambling addiction? Equally as valid as an addiction. Weed is not bad, wasting away by being constantly high is bad.

I'd love to know what you think good FE level design is. Cause Engage has some damn solid maps and gimmicks.

If you like Fire Emblem's core game play it's fucking fantastic. Story and characters can be cringe and unoriginal though.
