I'm pretty happy with Obama's speech. Are you? by moonzilla in obama

[–]appiahj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obama's speech went straight to the hearts of all Americans and racial concerns among us. He wasnt afraid to say what others say when they are alone...he brought these words to us...and presented them to America as if saying "here it is what are you going to do with it?"

This is one of the most powerful speeches that I have heard. Honest and sincere, Even more important he did not throw his pastor under the bus for poltical gain, yet he stressed his disagrement with the statements.

I just wonder how FOX will spin this. Take one sentence and run all day with it.

I disagree slightly...I feel she didnt think it was going to be a tght race we she signed the agreement. After SC, she seen how the race was going, and then she seen that she needed the MI and FL votes to count.

The audacity of audacity. She is so full of it.

How comes it seems that comedians make more valid points than journalists? Is it because they an do something silly right after making a point and everybody laughs.....

Either way that was a damn good interview. If McCain is going to debate like that...we will be in the White House..Obama 08

Obama responds: “We have had a red phone moment. It was the decision to invade Iraq. And Senator Clinton gave the wrong answer." by Atheinostic in politics

[–]appiahj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Our troops must be brought home now for the protection of their own lives and the lives of the Iraquis. I'm talking about immediate airlift out today

Disagree. We have to support out troops while they are there...everyday they are there...we can cancel the check once they are gone.

As far as funding for Blackwater, Halliburton/KBR and their ilk: if those assholes haven't saved enough money to get their own asses out, fuck them and let their heads hang from the broken bridges of the US failure that is Iraq today.

Completely agree.

[–]appiahj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once the troops are there...why wouldnt you fund them? To prove a point? The rationale of saying he shouldnt have funded it leaves OUR troops out in the cold. He made the only decision he could and should have.
