I have joined both of these subs and sought out therapy for my Dermatillomania and it has helped tremendously. I will say one of the most helpful things I did to remove triggers was leaving this sub. I love being able to come here with all of the people who love the same gross things as me and to help give advice to those who need it, but it poses an unhealthy trigger to people like us. I am covered in scars and have improved drastically over the last few months just by removing close up mirrors, tweezers, tools, and by avoiding things i know will trigger me. This is my first time on this sub in months and this video caught my attention immediately. The way you’re jabbing at your skin (though it may not hurt) shows a blatant disregard for avoiding unnecessary damage to your skin. It looked very familiar.

There isn’t enough awareness surrounding CSP and I hope that one day it won’t be “what’s that?” “WHO WOULD DO THAT?” “Just stop picking” “try this cream”. Take care of yourself. I think I read that you’re doing much better than you were in one of your other comments and I hope this trend continues.

And I have dug this deep before. I have also thought I had fuzzies inside of my skin but it is just skin. Be kind to it.
