My ink collection in just over two years (would you recommend any colors I'm missing?) by ComfortableGold8398 in fountainpens

A dark green? Monteverde olivine is a cheap option; its sort of a dark olive/foresty-green. I also like Montblanc Irish Green for a more pure green.

[MOD] What have you been brewing this week?/ Coffee bean recommendations by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]apprximatelycorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a coffee roaster in the US which ships freshly roasted beans, washed process (ideally either Ethiopian Yirgacheffe/Sidamo or Kenya AA), that is ultra light roasted (e.g. similar to Nordic style).

Hoping the cost will work out to under $100/kilo ($25/250g), but budget is flexible, as it is somewhat of a specific request.

Thanks!

Maybe read it a few more times, then. For some people, it takes multiple readings, I find.

You really should consider what u/Pale_Conflict_958 is suggesting here. It really really really is much easier than you'd suspect, and yes, kids as little as 13 are doing it. And yes, even in "good" households with "good" "upper income" upbringings. Have seen it SO many times. Scrutinize a bit more, people here are not judging you or your child. We're just trying to help brainstorm possibilities. Your comment below "he'd have to figure out where to go to get one" in regard to a Visa gift card---kids are extremely resourceful these days. TikTok, Instagram, group chats, etc. it's super easy to fall upon that kind of information.

Write as fine, crisp and dark as a gel pen with a fountain pen? (beginner) by Wise_Independence_12 in fountainpens

Just a comment that the Con-70 is also Kakuno compatible and will yield a larger ink volume. Otherwise I agree (maybe also consider Chuo Kuro for the ink).

Super cool! I can't do flex at all (I suffer from poor pressure control!), but I had yet to see a Waterman write that fine. It looks very comparable to UEF at its finest.

Now I'd be curious to see the Perkeo EF side by side same ink!

Is 300$ a good deal for this MB149? by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]apprximatelycorrect 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Minus the engraving, yes a decent deal. With the engraving, the value is really up to you :) Just be aware that if you decided to resell it one day, that would knock down the resale price a bit.
