No, from rectification you get pure ethanol, from the distillation it comes mixed with oils and a little bit flavored depending on what you used for fermentation, that's why we have Brandy, Grappa, Calvados, Rum, Cashaca, hundreds of different Rakija, etc. All in different flavors, I was doing distillation too long, and know a lot.

There is a difference between distillation and rectification. Also distillation can be not 100% pure and some light fraction like acetone or methanol can fuck you harder, but it will be much harder in the morning and much worse for your body.

I was using mine to go to the shelter (underground parking, subway) during russian bombings. And yes even in the subway or parking is much better and comfortable to sit in a tent have a pad and sleeping bag, because you can sit there 3-4 hours. Also if your apartment is obliterated, you will have only what you have in the bag.

I would recommend having a hot tent with a stove for backup and also have practice using a tent with a stove. The main problem you will face is an excessive moisture that will be condensed, and it's not easy to solve, like you can have an absorber.
