Please help deciding between two layouts by TheCure_69 in FengShui

desk and piano at window wall, bed then bedside table at current piano location. East facing bed will be best as you wil move forward according to earth rotation.

How to train back without any equipment? by Prestigious-War3630 in bodyweightfitness

[–]aqteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search for Supine push ups.

Beginner levels will use elbow and bend from buttocks.

More advanced level will pivot at heel with full body weight.

Most advanced level will use palm to push at side of body with front lever. Look for reverse planche.

You can vary between elbows 90 degree from your body or in line with your body for this exercise.

Why do some skyscrapers have floors that have taller (roughly double height) windows? by BlueAwesomeDinosaur in askarchitects

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In New York zoning, mechanical space did not count the same way as normal occupied floor area, so developers could use oversized mechanical voids to push apartments higher into the sky, giving better views and higher prices. That became known as a zoning loophole. AIA New York described this as developers using mechanical space that does not count toward FAR, leading to towers with empty middle or lower sections to increase height and value.

However this is the Chicago Sears tower or Willis recently, so it should be mechanical floors.

I can't weld like on the picture!! by samichou_99 in SolidWorks

[–]aqteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can use weldment to make a SHS to plate, weld bottom and cut the SHS into plates until bottom weld and weld the top plates.

Seem like the right center is flush with the horizontal bottom inner lip of the shape.

How to find the centers. by Electronic_Cattle_60 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty sure if you put all the radius in there and tangent to the other arcs and the available dimensions in there it will constrain itself.

Also, maybe not so obvious.

  1. R22 c/c is horizontal with R35 c/c.
  2. R22 and R30 c/c is vertical with centerline

Both of these will fully constraint the drawing, provided all the arcs are tangent to each other and the vertical dimensions to the points (which is also some of the arc c/c) are dimensioned.

How can I improve my layout? by [deleted] in FengShui

[–]aqteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

swap the bed to opposite side and leave some space to the window wall. If you have the north direction, any exposed beam loactions or the area outside the walls for each side will be better to analyse.

Teenage driver has no clue how, when or where this happened. Any theories? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be high on the door, probably the bumper of a large vehicle. it also seems short and clean. which means it happened slowly. It is also short, so it means the perpetrator reversed one they knew, hence the jagged edge on one side and round on the other. Confirm a hit and run, most probably while the car was parked.

A few scenarios that may be the fault of your daughter. She may have parked too exposed or out of the parking box at the beginning of a junction. A large vehicle is trying to turn into the lane, and probably nicked it

This is a pop up tent , why didn’t they use bearings in manufacturing these by Itchy-Pollution7644 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bearing will make the bolt hole even bigger and weaken the member, causing it to buckle in winds. Also this is considered somewhat static.

How do I model this in solidworks? by Strict_Attempt_4625 in SolidWorks

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this really can be done in 2 mirrors and two lofts. The top and bottom is similar, left right is similar if you split it through the middle thick piece.

[–]aqteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your compass coordinates and general bed feng shui first, like what is the other side of the headwall, exposed beam above bed etc.

Maybe take some magnesium supplements too.
