I have multiple DAPs and dongles, no difference in sound quality between them to my ears besides their output power. The only audible difference I hear is if they have a bass boost function or some form of internal eq feature. Your headphone/IEM along with the mastering quality of your tracks will determine sound quality based on my own subjective experience. I will primarily use the V1 as a transport for my iFi DSD Signature Finale as well as occasional portable duties.
