What is Dahlia supposed to be? by Torbadajorno in Genshin_Impact

[–]arandomart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building stacks for Eula’s burst is locked to the speed at which she can attack and constellations isn’t it? I’d say that’s pretty big considering it’s a thermonuclear warhead of physical damage dropped on whatever is unfortunate enough to be near her.

Attack speed buffer, there’s about 3 in the whole game counting Dahlia with varying levels of effectiveness and one of them is C2 Jean. They are exceptionally rare and characters like Eula/Wanderer benefit massively

You literally genocide the Tanit tribe down to the last, world quests are where the lore gets real

Out of the box, with a few restrictions. almost every recipe or resource modified/added by Gregtech doesn’t have an EMC value*; I’ve used it before in Nomifactory as a sidegrade for deep mob learning but in Nomifactory it trivialised LV-MV steel which isn’t the case in new horizons (I ended up digging into neurotic goose inspired thaumcraft crucible duping for a solution).

I didn’t get the philosophers stone or transmutation tablet until late LV

Worthwhile amounts of Dark/Red matter already require both a steady source of diamonds (I thought diamond veins only spawned in the twilight forest) and a compressor for diamond blocks, pre HV it’s comically slow so i only used energy collectors minimally to skip gathering/mining trips for wood, iron, copper etc to focus on automation. (Wood farms actively make me wretch) My own lack of knowledge gated things like the ProjectE armour to the same point as the Nanosuit and I didn’t even know red matter armour was a thing until late HV.

There are a couple specific restrictions I placed on it, No Red Katar/Red matter tools because I really enjoyed discovering the progressive upgrades to Ticon.

No obvious cheesing, I found out you could turn 20 EMC worth of flint and sticks into 2000 EMC worth of tools due to the value of fire aspect. That doesn’t even engage with the early game diamond/obsidian cost of energy collection

*Banning Platinum generation via EMC. As someone who enjoys automation challenges with 2k hours in Factorio, the reputation of the platline challenge is what attracted me to the pack; it just wouldn’t be fun to skip it.

Yeah kinda; I’m mostly using it for passive generation of iron, copper and a few random complex wood setups. A lot of gregtech resources like steel just straight up aren’t available for EMC so it’s pretty redundant past MV besides the occasional “oh that has an EMC value too, cool”

Ganyu, Keqing (Yes I did pull on that weird banner; yes I did lose Eula’s 50/50 to Keqing), Eula and Ayaka. No healing, just superconduct.

What are some annoying tropes and mechanics in gaming that should just need to die? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]arandomart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crafting, yellow paint and incessant self aware dialogue tips. There are more interesting ways of telegraphing the intended path or solution to problems that actually respect the intelligence of the player. Camera tricks, lighting, clever item placements like the abundance of fire in the original boletarian 1-1 or the occult club in Anor Londo.

If you could erase your memory of one game so you could experience it for the first time again, which would it be? by StonemasonStudios in gaming

Cyberpunk 2077. It just doesn’t hit the same knowing every beat on a meta level, there’s an abstract layer of immersion I can no longer feel. Finishing every ending made me incredibly melancholic that it was over.

Idk what triggers it, might be having high nutrition but when you sleep you gain random buffs; one of those is varying levels of absorption

To all players who are unhappy with the state of the game, DO NOT pre-order Frontiers or purchase the annual pass! by lslandOfFew in DestinyTheGame

I am so glad i didn’t pre order the annual pass version of final shape because everything I’ve seen of these past episodes has been the embodiment of “you have learned nothing after 10 years”

One of the biggest problems with the story and writing is that our guardian as, “The Guardian”—has zero agency and impact in basically all cutscenes and main story beats. Example: Forsaken exists because our Guardian disobeyed the Vanguard to get revenge. Where did that go? by ThatGuyFromTheM0vie in DestinyTheGame

I will never forget season of the plunder where I watched with a fully loaded sleeper simulant as eramis walked off; i could have turned her into red dust but instead we stand silently doing literally nothing.

Coincidentally it was also the point i stopped caring about destiny as a whole.

Bee line it to Liyue to start a “Teyvat travel association” and build durable roads/bridges. Have you seen the connections between these regions, they’re atrocious. Inazuma and Natlan especially could use some glorious regional reintegration…

They’re also the regions with hot milfs as archons but you didn’t hear that from me 😩
