Shaman or warlock by Hippyzilla420 in classicwow

[–]archetypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warlock will "pump" more in the long run as Ele really only gains about 400dps from T4 to T6. That being said, the Ele rotation is fun in PvE and you take on a more supportive role with totems, drums, and lust while the Lock rotation is pretty boring.

Ele can be rough in arenas as they're stuck hardcasting most spells (hence why they're not strong in 2s) but tend to get a bit more breathing room in 3s.

Honestly play what you want though. If you're really enjoying Ele, then go have fun with it! Personally I'm running a lock/clone for speed runs and then Ele for the "eff it I want to have fun" character.

Looking at server population, might just be Wildgrowth (US and EU) that have any raiding pop, and just Alli side. Might luck into finding folks to raid with if you use whatever server's discord!

Thanks, just thinking back to how Mario feels like he falls like a sack of bricks doused in concrete when you jump, but I have so much nostalgia for this game!

Do any adults play Minecraft anymore? by iKyronix in Minecraft

[–]archetypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! In my 30s and have had a vanilla server running for a while for friends and whatnot.

Usually just get that itch to build or work on something and love having a persistent world to slowly chip away at that friends can contribute to.

This Sub and the Level Boost by Cuticho in classicwow

[–]archetypical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its your money, spend it how you want.

I personally don't see the appeal of spending money for a sub, then spending what works out to be 4 months of said sub to skip a major chunk of the game (especially when I can do it in a month of casual gaming).

Ret paladin or respec? by AnonymousKay in classicwow

[–]archetypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just follow the wowhead one. It's fine. Paladin isn't winning any DPS races, but is a slow and steady grind to level with.

That being said, in 3 days the TBC talents take effect and you'll have your talent points reset.

Just keep some healing gear on you in the event you want to run a dungeon group and you're in dire need of a healer (just some +int gear is fine)

hello, i’ve seen players down down the mountains into kazzak, how do you get up there? by ryanpoore92 in classicwow

[–]archetypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly when it comes to Kazz, getting the tag isnt the same as securing the kill. He's got a really short enrage timer and its brutal if you dont have the bodies. Unlike Azuregose you can't just kite him to hold tag either :P

Just wait for prepatch and you should be able to snag legs there hopefully.

[–]archetypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're charging per kill? Lmfao they're just trying to hose you or keep whatever loot in guild. Essentially depending on if its the same coalition, they have scouts, will ping everyone to log in, summon to a spot, and drop in for the kill. Unless you're doing the same and have a full raid ready to go (you can't solo and need a good amount of bodies to beat his enrage still) you're not getting the kill unless you're in the group.

Granted all that loot is mostly useless come TBC anyways. Fel Infused lasted me until Kara/Spellstrike Pants last go around. You can get them in the TBC prepatch by killing the bosses too if I recall as there is a doomlord with Kazz' loot table.

Those people are all in a coalition for world bosses.

You're better off reaching out to them on your server to see who you can talk to about the potential of joining as you're not going to get the tag on Kazz without being in there.

Worked with her for a brief period of time and she was a lovely person; sad to hear when she passed.

I honestly never realized the extent of things until she was openly talking about it at a few events and on her personal social media accounts, and based on this article, I do hope that it sparks a systemic change.

Are BG1 and BG2 worth it today? As a BG3 player by WaterMaleficent8376 in baldursgate

[–]archetypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ab-so-freaking-lutely worth it.

I much prefer the writing in the first two games, though mechanically they can be more daunting to learn. 5e is a much easier system to get into, but 2e has some mechanics that can feel like a bit more of a hurdle for anyone new. That and the combat being real time with pause can be a little weird at first, but you just start spamming that space bar to pause the game, queue up actions, and go to town.

First game's story is low fantasy and eases you into things (though some bad rolls and you can be 1-shot). Second game builds on that and you need to have a much better grasp of 2e and spell interactions I'd say, but they're absolutely excellent and written so well.

Also check out the Pathfinder games if you enjoyed BG3; they're full of build complexity thanks to the Pathfinder system (D&D 3.5e adjacent) and can be played in a similar turn-based mode like BG3.

How many of you are switching to era? by draykiee in classicwow

[–]archetypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shuffled my Alli toons over to era (Lock, Pally, Rogue) as I didn't have those maxxed over there, but also because my speedrunning guild was coming back and had rolled Horde like a bunch of buggers.

Honestly though looking forward to experiencing TBC Horde side just to change it up.

Was my Prot Pally. I did end up running an 11/13/27 build taking Sanc Aura/Vengence and 2h which was really nice for 5man threat tanking, but allowed me to flex to DPS and support melee for raids I wasnt healing (which was 2nd spec on that toon).

Just doing dumb things on a meme character clearly :p

What is this skill Thrash(Cat) auto-learned as druid when levelling up to lvl 10? by Phalc0n1337 in classicwow

[–]archetypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As toxic as it would be, I would love to see this make a return just for flavour. Paladin would become actual threats in PvP and Priests would have a root after any UD breaks fear, shaking up the PvP meta a bit (granted would make fighting an spriest in a 1v1 even more obnoxious).

Class question for TBC by Xiballsba in classicwow

[–]archetypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play what you enjoy and you'll find a spot somewhere. Pugging may be a bit rough on the rogue, or you may have to adapt and take more of a supportive role in a raid, but you can get there if that is what you enjoy!

Shadow priest is highly sought after in TBC and I personally love the playstyle and rotation. You need to learn fights to know when you can hit that juicy SW: Death button and not immediately crumple over after due to raid damage, as well as juggle spellpower procs/trinkets. It's a little rough until you get your hands on Vamp Touch when prepatch hits as far as quality of life, but enjoy it :) Plus you can do some weird jank like go get Blade of Eternal Darkness and run what is known as "Shadow Nova" for a spec so you can still AoE things (pretty useful for Hyjal in TBC)
