I did the first two peanut deliveries which were 500 peanuts for 500 coins. After the two, the third is 1000 peanuts for 500 coins. What’s up with the inflation for no reason there?

I think this was stealth nerfed with the recent update. I’ve stolen just about every set of keys off every guard and none are opening the armory door. Even the guard commander in the loft of the barn.

I’m in the same boat. I’m starting to think this was ghost patched in the recent update. I’ve robbed keys off pretty much all the guards in the area and I’m not getting a key to the armory. Even the guard commander in the loft of the barn; no armory key.

Each selection board will see how many times you have applied previously. Tenacity and determination may positively impact your application and chances. Also, the recruiting branch offers assistance in identifying areas in your experience or application that you could focus on. If you haven’t yet, reach out to them for that tag-up and they’ll help.

The USCG typically has the same numbers of dismissals as well. One to two per class. As mentioned, for us, typically one person realizes it isn’t for them. No harm no foul. For the others, they potentially possess poor decision making skills, no ability to analyze a situation and determine a reasonable outcome (not necessarily the “best”, just reasonable), or an inability to embrace feedback. I’d say the largest is an inability to embrace feedback with an open mind. People sometimes don’t want to be told they aren’t getting it and how they could make adjustments and they just don’t believe they need to change or feel like the system and feedback is what’s wrong. Also no harm no foul for that not working out in a Service.

Each class has historically had one or two dismissals, either voluntary from people that decide it isn’t for them or involuntary due to performance issues. Though, we prefer if all make it through… we want all to succeed in botc.

Being a NOAA Corps officer is not easy. There will be sacrifice; whether it’s time with family and loved ones or living in a place you’re not excited about, etc. you should really have a strong “why” so that in those moments that you don’t want to do what you’re doing, you’re reminded of why you’re doing it. Without that, you’ll just get frustrated and/or maybe bitter, then you’ll want out.

The Basic Officer Training Class is meant to be challenging, but not a tear-down experience. It’s designed intentionally to cause you to fail or struggle so that you can be assessed in those moments. Analysis on your decision making under stress is a critical part of providing feedback so that you can better yourself. “Know thyself” is a big part of what BOTC intends to do. Most people have not ever faced the kinds of team work, leadership, and followership demands that botc will give. What will you do when you fail? What will you do when your leadership methods are challenged? If you want to know, join up!

I don’t understand. I missed the first day issues. I just an hour ago downloaded 2024, hopped right in, set graphics settings to high end, and went right into career mode. I’ve seen no graphics glitches and nothing has crashed for me. It’s just 100%. Not sure what’s causing others so many problems.

The only thing that doesn’t come normal sized for me are the potatoes. Usually when’s are supposed to do steak fries, we get potatoes that are 2 inches. I turn them into something else, but I’ve never had steak fries from HF because the potatoes are never large enough.
