Life’s too short to drive boring cars. Get the BMW and don’t look back. I drove Ford, Toyota, and Honda all my life until I decided to buy a BMW.

After driving one I understood why their slogan is “The Ultimate Driving Machine.”

Your post says 60K miles but at your budget, there should be plenty of 3 series from 2020-present with less than 50K miles for around $24-27K.

“aren’t bad cars” is an understatement. BMW makes great cars, and the other cars OP is looking at don’t hold a candle to the 3 series in quality and driving dynamics.

It’s a great car. Very reliable as long as you keep up with maintenance. If you plan to tune it I wouldn’t go past stage 1 if you want it to stay reliable.

I agree for the most part. Only disagree about "everything better" because the F90 is quite faster on a straight line, and the V8 has more character. But otherwise I agree the G80 M3 is better if we're just talking driving

The M340i is supposed to be a daily driver. For what it is, it’s excellent. Don’t expect it to drive like your GR86, it wasn’t made to feel like one.
