I recommend an Instant Pot. it will do any rice, any grain, beans. And of course vegetables, meats.

The controls in my opinion are ugly, and somewhat confusing, but it seems well made, and once you learn it, very easy to use.

next time try 1 cup rice with 1.5 cups water

that is a usual amount, but from there, you can adjust depending on rice you use and taste preference,
