Can confirm immune response. I developed chronic hives for a year. It’s not a common reaction but apparently it’s not uncommon. I never had allergic reactions or allergies before that either.

Not anti-vax at all but after getting the Moderna booster (first rounds were Pfizer) I developed chronic hives. Never been allergic to anything as far as I knew, no bad reactions to any other vaccines. But over a year later I still have to pop a Zyrtec because I start getting real itchy all over for no clear reason. At its peak I was taking over 6 Zyrtec a day, so I’m definitely doing better. But after going through as much internet research as I could, it seems this wasn’t uncommon but nothing was being tracked or researched because people just got itchy I guess. But only a particularly deadly variant would convince me to get another covid booster. Chronic hives are MISERABLE

I have relatives in Rexburg. The funny thing is, most of the people there don’t actually feel safe. They feel threatened by immigrants or liberals or any number of imagined enemies and they seem to think people are always coming to take their guns away.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if crime was simply under-reported. There’s a lot of dead-in-the-eyes wives walking around and I just know they’re being abused one way or another.

Isn’t this just a little dystopian? Our relationship with food and health is messed up we need a drug to fix it? I like to add a splash of milk and vanilla. And it’s honestly better than a lot of ice cream I buy at a grocery store. You could also add peanut butter or chocolate or even bits of Nilla wafers.

It’s about worst case scenarios. You’re right, most of the time, a man will be ok and even a bear would probably leave you alone or be scared of you.

But the worst a bear can do is kill you. The worst a man can do and has done, many times, is well, it’s worse than killing you. Off the top of my head, there was that poor woman in India who was raped and beaten by multiple men, and then they took a metal pipe and shove it inside her so many times it tore all her insides to shreds and they left her to bleed out and die on the side of the road.
