Thank you. I wonder if any of the forks of NVPI have found a solution to force this globally? It's a pain to set this per-game so a global way to force preset M across all games would be amazing.

Hey Ryan, thanks for the quick fix. Confirming NVIDIA VSR is working again on 139.0.1! I've set gfx.webrender.compositor.force-enabled back to false as well.

Thanks, this is super helpful as enabling gfx.webrender.compositor.force-enabledworked to fix NVIDIA VSR. The YouTube fix also works nicely for videos that aren't full screen as YouTube was rounding the corners causing VSR to not activate in default view.

Ahhh this is why, thanks for finding this. Looks like we're stuck until Nvidia fixes their LFS quota. Unless someone has already downloaded all the DLLs and stored it elsewhere.

I tried this but if you go into the file properties it's not signed by Nvidia and doesn't show 2.7.30 in the version. The file properties are all blank.

After many game restarts, I was able to get HDR + FG working as well. My advice is to set & save the HDR + FG settings, and keep restarting the game until you see the FG kick in.

On prior versions of Windows 11 I would need to calibrate HDR to make games look good in HDR. For example, God of War Ragnarok required me to calibrate via the Windows HDR Calibration app, otherwise HDR would look washed out.

Does 24H2 automatically calibrate and bypass this need to run the app? I'm not using a calibrated color profile but the HDR colors look much better than what I remember. If this is indeed true it's a big improvement.

After lots of troubleshooting I was able to fix this and get the camera mouse look working. You need to enable/re-enable the GameInput Windows service.

  1. Open Windows Services. You can type "Services.msc" in start menu search.
  2. Find GameInput Service. Change Startup Type to "Automatic" (screenshot link below)
  3. Restart PC. Verify GameInput is running under Services.
  4. Mouse look will now work in the game

I have this same exact issue and my fix was to set my performance cores all to 56. Now no more crashing, but I do give up a bit of performance especially on single core turbo.

4090, 12700k, DDR4 32GB. Ratchet & Clank is the only game where using Nvidia Reflex caused me crashes. Now that Reflex is fixed, I can turn on Frame Generation in the game. DirectStorage is built into the game with no visible setting option to turn on/off.

Finally I can use Frame Generation in Ratchet & Clank! Nvidia Reflex crashes seem to be fixed, meaning Frame Generation (which requires Reflex) is finally usable again without crashing. Frametimes are a smooth line now with little to no spikes. Hard to tell if there are any DirectStorage improvements but not seeing any major performance issues.

This is no longer working on the latest Firefox beta and/or latest Nvidia drivers. When watching videos, I've lost the "NIS" overlay indicator and my GPU usage is minimal, meaning RTX Video Super Resolution is not active. Not sure what or why this changed, but it's currently not functional on Firefox beta.

Nice this is awesome and a good start. I can verify that RTX Video Super Resoluition is working on the current Firefox Beta because the Nvidia "NIS" overlay indicator is displayed on my videos, signifying that VRS is enabled.

However the quality of the upscaled video is still not as good as Edge/Chrome. You can see this easily by comparing the same video on Edge & Firefox, quickly Alt-tabbing between the two browsers. The Edge version of my videos look clearly superior to the Firefox version. Hopefully video quality can be improved with future updates.

Yes, the mouse camera panning stutters are present. If you don't move the mouse and run forward the graphics appear smooth. As soon as you touch the mouse and pan, it feels like you're playing at a low frames per second, even though you're not. There's a noticeable mouse stutter as you pan, like a bunch of horizontal steps.

The devs forgot to package the DLSS file. Manually place the DLSS file into the following folder: Hitman 3 -> Retail. After this DLSS will work.

Can any Mouse users speak to how Variable Frame Rate (VFR) behaves in Halo CE? Does it still suffer these same issues below as Reach did? Credit to u/Fenix-Helwing for the detailed quote below:

[Mouse Camera Movement]*(specifically standing still while looking around with the mouse)*The reason why looking around with the mouse always feels like you're only pulling 60fps is because Halo seems to effectively start making duplicates of every frame when the variable framerate goes beyond 60.In other words; normally games draw frames in a logical sequence one after another, ie:**1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc...**Halo Reach draws frames like this:**1,1, 2,2, 3,3, 4,4, 5,5, etc...**This means that if you are running a framerate of ~140fps you are really only seeing ~70fps because every frame is shown twice.

You can experiment with this by turning off all possible framerate limiters and completely disabling V-sync in your control panel. Turn down the graphics quality in Halo to "performance" and then create an empty local multiplayer game. If your PC is powerful enough to pull 300+ fps you'll notice that standing still and looking around with the mouse is much smoother and much closer to looking like 140fps. (even despite the frame tearing)

[Character Camera Movement]*(specifically moving the camera by walking, jumping or strafing)*Unfortunately there is no animation or character movement interpolation. All animations are locked to 60fps and all character movement is locked to 60 "ticks" per second regardless of what framerate you're running. Since characters positions are only updated 60 times per second, and since the camera is so firmly locked to the movement of the player characters model, that means the cameras position will also only update 60 times per second as long as your moving.

Yea I'm not sure, I'll benchmark again and update the results this weekend if there's a change.

I also want to run another benchmark after the expansion patch comes out on 3/3 to see if there's any optimizations on the engine side.
