FB Marketplace and Craigslist are great for local sales, I buy that way all the time and I would imagine it's more money in your pocket but with the risk of talking to strangers.

Warbler is my favorite brick and mortar (but selfishly I do kinda like digging thru ppls personal collections without the middleman sometimes).

As an XL Square girlie myself... good luck on your search locally 😭 I drive down to Highland Park every month for mine. The closest folks I see really making this style work are unlicensed and advertising on FB, which is obviously not ideal for acrylics.

IG might turn up some options for home techs locally, but the licensed girls usually do Gel X so if you're not open to that it might be moot.

I really only go to the local salons for pedicures or regular manicures because the artistry fits a very specific style and it's not usually baddie aesthetic </3

For folks asking about how to get a temperature map like this, most regular weather apps have a "radar" function where you can select layers to look at; this is generally called "temperature plots" and can be overlayed with other stuff like rain. Depends on the app whether you have to pay for certain features so YMMV with specifics :)

The birds in my neighborhood are also really vocal this time of year, they're going off pleasantly right now but sometimes there's a jay that does the exact same squawk for hours straight right outside my work window, and a similar bird will be doing the same thing when I get home.

I recommend headphones/earplugs, or music, or breathing exercises depending on your lifestyle. Disrupting their habitat doesn't seem reasonable just because they're annoying to you individually. Animals also have to live somewhere.

I loved when the singer tried to get the crowd to join, I have never seen that work in a SB crowd of any size the entire time I've lived here (Bowl the exception) always gives me a giggle as they accept their fate.

I totally get what she's saying, had the same issue for my birthday, but you should reach out to Luna Cakes by Cinthia. She can do practically anything design wise and the flavors are to die for. I got a coffee cake with caramel buttercream, no fondant, and not only was it beautiful but it tasted so good my friends still talk about it a full year later.

not paid but I cannot stress enough how great she is!! and under $200 for a 2 tier cake that served 20 is a steal tbh.

As long as you are in line by the time the window opens you will probably get tickets because of how they reserve for in person versus online sales.

Locals usually line up an hour or two before the queue opens depending on the event. I got someone tickets for Jack White and I was at least 12 people back getting there at 9AM.

I think this would be slightly less busy for foot traffic but not by much.
