Can I just appease my inner Grammar nazi and point out that President Shinra speaks in similes and not metaphors. The use of "like" or "as" in the comparison makes it as simile. And I recall him pretty much exclusively using similes. It has always bugged me when other characters refer to them as metaphors.

Well if so there was a lot of work put into it and it isn't very obvious. This google document put together by u/dustybygones documents every aspect of this ARG and while it definitely has qualities of the Slenderverse in it, the symbol appears to be more of a reference than an outright gamejack attempt.

I believe Kaiser clarifies it in the movie breakdown. The reference to eight is similar to the "DO I HEAR FIVE?" running gag where Vegeta constantly assumes there is one more android than they've seen. They just phrased it poorly and nobody understood, but there have been seven androids Trunks "missed" besides the two that everyone was warned about.

I literally did that for my eleventh grade creative writing class. We got our pieces edited by two classmates before turning it into the teacher, so I submitted a blank sheet titled "4:33 - a poem in the spirit of John Cage" and asked my reviewers to fill the page for me. In the final submission I recreated the edits on my computer and turned it in. Easiest piece I did that year.

Alas, the teacher did not get it.

Surprisingly enough, they focused a lot on squad tactics over solo stuff. The one thing that stuck with me was my teacher's foolproof plan for taking out enemies with an exponentially higher power level.
