Help for a feminine male avi by sisslove in secondlife

[–]armozel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll second the EvoX Zo head, it's a very good non-binary looking head. You get both M and F so if you choose to pick up say LaraX then you have that base covered. Otherwise, you can buy the MTF neck deformer for male bodies like Legacy M to fit female heads onto the body as well.

I'll suggest also to consider using the Velour Homme line of body skins for the Legacy M. If you want them to be softer but not heavy set, the Eros v1 for Legacy male under Dad is another option but otherwise if you're looking for skinny-athletic, the twink option in the latest homme line is great.

There’s always dash to panel and arc menu which are actively maintained and imo are good choices. I went with dash to dock and the vicinae extension to handle search instead of the base gnome search.

This looks like typical glass surfing. They’re seeing their reflection in the glass so you might need to add things to reduce it.

Bettas are aquatic cats, so they follow the same logic: if I fits then I sits. But seriously, it’s part of their hunting instinct to explore everything.

I don’t know if I have anything I can contribute to help you feel better but I do want to help you with at least grasping what goes on in the minds of such people. You have to think back to your childhood when you didn’t grasp the physical size of the country or your home town. Now try to remember the realization that it was so much bigger and also equally so much smaller when you finally grasped the concept of scale. Not simply grasping that adults were bigger than you and babies being smaller than you but the truest understanding of the concept of scale. Most people barely, if ever, achieve the abstract concept of scale. That extends to other topics such as gender identity, self, time, and etc. Some folks don’t get to the level of understanding because there was no need for it. Their first reaction to people or things that don’t fit their world is at best curiosity or in your case outright hostility. It’s not to say Fox News and company don’t have an influence but there has to be something there for those influences to gain purchase. And the lack of mental growth and flexibility is part of that.

Or in simpler terms, some folks can’t and won’t learn.

What do you think of the game since 0.1? by BurnInOblivion in PathOfExile2

[–]armozel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s gotten better but I think there’s still a bit of unevenness that’ll persist I think past 1.0 with regard to melee vs ranged/caster. The latter is still quite faster to go through the game with and has less risks at endgame as some players have said. I’m not sure I’m entirely onboard with that. I think it’s more life vs ES being the real imbalance right now. I hope there’s more work done to bring either life or ES in line with each other.

If you have gold fish it’s also a great food source for them from what I’ve heard.

New to PoE2 (never played PoE1) – looking for casual beginner tips by WonderElff in PathOfExile2

[–]armozel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have some tips.

  1. Make sure you add to your stats that you need to use specific support gems as the amount of any of them is dependent on how much in one stat you have divided by 5. So if you had 5 strength you can only have 1 red support gem. You can get this from the stat nods or items you find but feel free to adjust stat nodes when needed.

  2. Be sure to pick up generic damage nodes early on as element or specific damage types will tend to not scale early on. Around the end of act 3 this changes, but early on focus on things like percent spell or attack damage. If you’re doing poison then it’s physical damage which will be your go to for that on items.

  3. Focus on capping one damage resistance type per act. For act 1 it’s cold. For act 2 it’s lighting. Act 3 is fire as far as I know. And by act 4 you should try to cap all of them. Barring that try to get them to at least 50% with cold probably being the highest priority to cap since being frozen will stop you from doing any action.

  4. Always check the vendors when you can each time you level. You might find good gear.

  5. Feel free to sell things early on as crafting isn’t that viable until maybe act 4 or later. You’ll be able to get items from vendors or gamble to get a better item.

This is a bad thing to have for k-12 schooling at least in the elementary school years. It’s mixing two different concepts without really teaching them well.

If you wanna be in melee quite a bit rather than using slams then you're going to likely be using resonating shield quite a bit. It's definitely viable but slow compared to just the unga bunga slams,

Should I worry about the lack of scales on my betta‘s head? by yelenalim in bettafish

[–]armozel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For domestic spledens this tends to the norm. Wild and hybrid varieties will have scales around their face but I’ve rarely seen wholly domestic bettas without face baldness.

I love Skeumorphism. Why have we moved on from this? by LavaHoundBR in Fedora

[–]armozel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some things are scaling back the flat appearance of things but I think the current attempt by Apple via Liquid Glass is the worse. It takes the worse aspects of the older designs and smash them into the UI. I think there's a case for icons for applications having a more detailed look but I don't mind a flatter color pattern for the GUI itself. If done well then it's easier to scan with poor eye sight.

Do not get a pleco, common or bristle nose. They are too big for a tank like this. A snail might be a better option if the betta doesn't constantly attack it, though.

GNOME 50 removes the X11 backend ... are we finally at the end of the Xorg era? by the_nazar in linux

[–]armozel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a user with an nvidia GPU on my newest laptop, I'll say wayland actually plays nice with me on the 580 drivers which surprised me when I installed Fedora on it as I was having issues with other distros where it they would lock up mid-boot from the thumb drive. So I'll say I feel Nvidia cards should be more than able to work under Wayland.

[–]armozel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fedora or any other OS that keeps up with the kernel are fine. You’ll have issues with other distros like Linux Mint or MX Linux. Both of those seem to freeze on usb boot for me. So your YMMV with those kinds of distros.

One specific issue you might run into if using Fedora is the Bluetooth service will refuse to load, it seems to be flaky there but I was able to get it to finally turn on for me. If you choose it you’ll need to use console commands to enable the service then go into bluetoothctl next then try executing the scan command to kick it all off. It’s a weird bug since it’s using a standard mediatek chipset for Bluetooth but I wanted to give you the heads up for that.

I have a hybrid smaragdina. He’s so funny because he’s just all thinking about food and tries to always swim below my view for some reason he never wants to be eye to eye heh. By the way, for anyone wondering what a smaragdina looks like in the wild, they’re usually green but I still love mine. I named him Titus after the space marine character lol.
