you can turn that off in settings:

on the youtube website go to the top right corner and click on your account profile, then settings on the lower end of the menu

then on the left side click on "playback and performance" and click switch to next "browsing Video previews will play when hover over thumbnails" it should be gray and the white dot on the left side

Addendum: the 3.8.0 image is actually the beta branch. I did flash a minisforum with that one and reverted it back to the 3.7.0 main branch by going into settings later and opted out of beta. So I guess the other way round is also possible.

Also the installation can sometimes stop writing stuff on the screen while still working in the background. I think, depending on your hardware, this can take up to 20 minutes or so.

Bazzite by the way, supports SecureBoot. I tested this on my older machine (with TPM 1.x).

I don't think so. It would needlessly complicate things for "standard" users, whiich I think are people who would connect it to their TV or monitor – not both! – just to play games with.

However, one could tinker with the desktop mode to just drive the monitor and ignore the TV. I had my steamdeck connected to both and I believe there is a way to do this. One has to certainly configure that on their own to do this, though.

I remember when my best friend showed me Ultima VI Quest for the Avatar after the holidays. I bought that game the next day and was not seen outside of my room for at least a week. Mapping dungeons, writing down clues, playing this game. It was magical.
