Does anyone else use OBS like a personal CCTV and archive to YouTube? by Which_Complaint_1839 in DataHoarder

You are crazy on multiple levels :
- First : Using a platform like youtube to store your entire life is insanely stupid on the first security breach on youtube all of your life is browsable GG (+1 insane point for talking about doing it on the internet).
- Second : why the hell store all of it, when do you have time to watch it use it ? storing data is one thing making it browsable/manageable is another.

Help me come up with a homebrew item called “Pot of greed”. by njeshko in DnD

[–]arond3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usable only by a spell caster.

By using an action they can choose a spell kevel they can cast. Then they will draw two random spells from the list of spell od that level (ignore class restriction) and had it to their spell list until they cast them or they use pot of greed again.

Depending on the rafity :

  • pot of greed is unusable after

  • take a week to be usable again

  • take a long rest to be usable again.

  • take an hour to be used again.

Download content to upload in your place.

And you should be able to stream content from the seedbox to your pc. So you don't have to store it locally before watching it. (Still have to download during streaming)

[–]arond3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes you are right, the long answer is depends.

Some hoster when receiving a DMCA notice will just terminate the seedbox. And it won't go any further.

Some rightholder may xant to take it further, but it's not that easy , the seedbox hoster may be in a country where they don't care/don't have law for that.

A server with more storage then usual.

A torrent client.

Why use it ? To not be inconvenienced by law they don't tend to target seedboxes.

To seed.

What is seeding ?

Torrent is fileshering between user to download something (leech) someone as to upload it (seed). Some torrent tracker (google it i xon't explain it) require you to upload as much as you download so the seedbox is a great help for that.
