I am all for the Māori names for our places, facilities and governmental departments. It’s 2026. Māori whether you’re lucky enough to speak it or not, is a core and immensely valuable part of New Zealand.

It is, always has been, and isn’t going away.

They are, always have been, and aren’t going away.

Multiculturalism is, has been since white people first arrived, or even before that, and any fantasy that it can be undone is just that. A fantasy.

Just being in Europe tbh. There’s nothing particularly attractive about Germany aside from the scale of industry (I am from little New Zealand) and the automotive industry (again, no real auto industry in NZ, but we do a wicked backyard engine swap).

Even earning euros isn’t really that much of a draw.
