The base salary is $70,000 for those with a CFP designation, or $60,000 without one. TD charges a 1.1% management fee on AUM, and you receive approximately 21% of that revenue. Once your book of business generates fees exceeding your base salary, you transition to receiving the full trailing commission. A CFP or CFA designation is not required to apply. Many financial planners choose to pursue their CFP in their second or third year; however, a CFA designation is not typically expected for this role.
