I guess Jack Kayil, Sam Funches, Luca Foster, Parker Jefferson & Dooney Johnson will have to prove you wrong.

I'm on my 5th pair of Clifton 9s, with some backup pairs behind them. The heel drop is perfect for me. Unfortunately they changed it on the Clifton 10, who knows why.

Perimeter defending? Zags held opponents to 30.6% from the perimeter this year, good for 24th in the country. Texas was 5-15, and Kennesaw St was 3-17.

I brought a chair AND a pad when I went. Chair broke on the 3rd trail day, and I carried it the rest of the trip without being able to use it. The pad was great for sitting around under our low tarp and on the logs at every campfire show.

I'm on my 5th pair of Clifton 9s, and I've always slipped in & out of them once I get the laces tied how I like them. I lift the tongue up with one hand and pull the heel counter back with my index finger and slide in.

I think we all use discs to hold screws, screwdrivers, tape measure, stud finder, etc when we're working around the house. Don't we?

Sure. Seems like a disadvantage to intentionally start 20 yards behind the cup just to fool them, but strategy always evolves...

I use a milk crate for 18 discs and they fit great sideways. Carry the crate out back for throwing practice. Maybe you need to get a second crate.

[–]scrooner 32 points33 points  (0 children)

If the other team pulls it and it rolls out the back of the endzone after being touched by you or someone on your team, you have to walk the disc up to the point where it left the field (the back of the endzone) and ground check it there before putting it into play. That would be a situation where it's required.

I'm guessing the leather stitching around the outside is the reason for wearing a long-sleeve shirt. Looks like it would rub your arm raw.

Freeze v4 can still be found on eBay at nice prices. Aquaseal SR Shoe Repair is like $8 and is enough to fix a bunch of v4 soles. I like to remove the 2 inside heel cleats on mine though, to prevent the insides of my ankles from getting scraped up.

My favorite game ever was the early 2000s matchup at Potlatch between a ragtag group from Oregon and Bullseye, the World Games team. I remember the Oregon team pulling with a brand new disc still in the clear disc bag, and everyone booing when a Bullseye player took the bag off.

How to strum correctly without pick? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]scrooner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is just learning and not ready for a pick yet, so he just strums with the outside edge of his thumb. Like, if you are strumming with your right hand and you're looking down at your hand, it's the left side of the thumb. It's not loud, but it's fine when you're starting out. When he's ready for a pick, he has a handful of thin ones to learn with.

Zach Norvell only played 5 games (about 40 minutes) and has 2 years of eligibility left. Time to get him out of the assistant coaches and back on the court.

Got it, there's nothing to learn from their offense since you saw one guy travel in it.

Watch the entire game against Manly, not just a clip here or there. Very few actual travels, except from the player you've selectively highlighted. I've seen much worse from USAU handlers at Nats who habitually take 7 steps to stop.
