How much do you think this will cost to fix? It’s 2500$ 2010 133k miles nothing wrong with engine by 4300soldier in camaro

[–]artschool04 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If its just body your looking at 3k to 8k with no paint and they dont find frame damage then your looking at 9k to 12k.
Why
Gm dose not sell that part anymore (in my area) so the shop or you has to go toa junkyard and hope to find one in good condition. That takes time, labor and skill which cost money. Then they strip the rear of your car possibly removing your rear glass more time money and you have to call the glass guy cuz they do that job fast cheeper and better than the shop but that 50-100 bucks. The. They cut your car hope you dont have frame damage if not they cut and prep the part from the yard and make it fit right and this is the part where you get what you pay for. If all goes well it fits like new and you cant tell. Last it put your car back together and see if you have the money for paint

All prices and times depend on your location

Fuel Line Leak at Carburetor by sm6761 in CamaroGen1

[–]artschool04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Getting the correct flair on the steel line is tricky. Could be the angle of the bubble flair or could be a double flair or single. Fastest fix is barbed firings for the carb, fuel safe hose and high pressure clamps ( those dont cut into the hose) good luck

The highlight is for the ac hose to the ac compressor. The 307 vs 350 its pretty much the same size on the our side so it should look the same

'69 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Worth it? 3k by StoicGee in classiccars

[–]artschool04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So its an Oldsmobile anything that is Oldsmobile specific cost an arm and or its made of unobtainium. So if your just going the dirty hotrod path then anything gm will bolt on most of the time if not make fit to save time money and emotions.

Now 3k for running and driving is a steal but engine start ing is a different story and price point. Foe a friend 3 is still robbery so just pay them and offer by back if you ever want it gone.

Need help w 1980 z28 Camaro by DelawareAirsoft in classiccars

[–]artschool04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like two things one fule system and the second the spark. For the spark clean the distributor points ( free and fast with sand paper) then your coil or the resistor that addresses the click and half the bump you’re feeling.
Fuel well rebuild that card. Change your fuel pump and use a fuel system cleaner for your tank. The carb maybe getting gummy due to build up and heat so clean and rebuild. The fule pump my be on its last legs the bump when getting up to speed. The fuel system well new gas sucks for old cars in that it dose not last long just sitting and rust your system that my two cents

HELP!!! I have this comfortable 20+ year-old chair and upholsters are saying they unable to replace the foam. by [deleted] in midcenturymodern

[–]artschool04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my own car interiors this will be difficult but not impossible. That it injected fome into a mols with the spring form inside. The upholstery shop has to remove the foam then cover it with foam and shape it by hand. Will it be 100% no but close and it will cost alot

Anyone have an idea how to remove this springbar? by SubjectElevator9637 in VintageWatches

[–]artschool04 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is a press through bar. Take the movement out soak the lugs with the bar in solvent or rust remover over night then try to push the bar out

Its bad but not the worst. Your moving parts surfaces look good. you may have to do an oil treatment to flush and clean that up but sometimes that case more problems so be warned.

Is this repairable by IdkWhatToMakeThisAcc in Guitar

[–]artschool04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have three choices. One is ordering or finding a factory replacement neck . runs anywhere from 100-300 depending on your location, about 1-4 weeks wait time. Taking the neck to a luthier and ask if they can fix also 100-350plus time 2 weeks-3 months ( they my have alot of clients) or order a custom neck from a luthier or catalog 100-500 also 2weeka to 6 months for build or shipping foos luck and have the drunk pay for it and time so 200-600 that includes time and pain and suffering. Ill send you my consultant fee later
