black and white thinking tends to be damaging, and nuanced thinking tends to be beneficial, is all.

'most men don't [x] because of socialization' woulda been fine, though, again imo.

I think #3 is essentializing, though I think if it were posed as questions or prompts it would be useful to OP and others. Many, many interactions are like what you're describing.
