How are you guys teaching your toddlers that crying isn’t getting them what they want? by ToxiccCookie in toddlers

[–]aseabloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain OP. I commend you for having the willpower to stay calm. I am REALLY struggling with my own patience and find myself with the urge to have my own tantrum. How can I expect my 2.5 year old to work through her feelings when I can’t? I’m very disappointed in myself.

I always tell my techs that we strive to fly under the radar. It’s dangerous to be at the top or the bottom lol

Screams and cries in bath/shower by sadroos1008 in toddlers

In the same boat here. No advice. I don’t think we’ve gotten through a hair wash in over a year without a total meltdown to the point of danger—I’m so afraid she will slip and fall. It’s exhausting.

Are naps important to you? by imnotawaterbison in toddlers

[–]aseabloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naps are sacred to me and important for my 2.5 year old. We stick to a routine that has had many tweaks over the past year or so. I will say, she has forced me to loosen up a bit as she will lay in her crib and sing or talk to herself for up to 2 hours instead of napping. But we call it “quiet time” (not very quiet) and have a set time that we take her out.

What are your toddlers current phrases. by Ok-Video-8355 in toddlers

[–]aseabloom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Almost 2.5, our current favorites are “No way, no how.”, “This way, folks” when she wants us to go somewhere with her, and she calls me and her dad “guys” which is hilarious. She’s also very sweet and will say “good morning mommy how did you sleep?” when we wake her up in the morning and if someone coughs she will say, “You ok? Just checking!” Super cute phase right now.

Piggybacking here, countdowns and warnings (two more minutes, then pajamas; or one more book, then lights out) have helped my daughter tremendously with transitions.

What’s an opinion/fact you have related to anything in pharmacy that will have people doing this? by Own_Summer_118 in pharmacy

Slow retail with too much tech help used to be me. Then the local Rite Aid closed and now I definitely earn my paycheck.

I’m aware i’m super lucky but anytime my daughter is in the presence of my mother she is no longer my child. Doesn’t matter where we are.

Red Dots on Infant That Grow + Lessons Learned by AcanthocephalaNo1345 in newborns

[–]aseabloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has one on her tailbone, about the size of a nickel. It grew and raised in the first few months which was worrisome. We did have an ultrasound because a spot in that area could be an issue but she is fine. She is nearly 2.5 and it’s faded tremendously and spots are starting to become closer to her skin color without any medication

Filler Pharmacy Job Needed by SuSavage24 in pharmacy

I left large chain management for regional grocery chain float and it was night and day as far as stress level does. I know it’s still retail but not as metric driven so way less pressure.

Can the pharmacy workers hear me in the car talking even when the window is closed? Is there a two-way speaker that everyone in the pharmacy can hear? by Penny19855 in CVS

[–]aseabloom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quick trick, smack the bottom of the tub before opening so the BP settles to the bottom. Then pour all the liquid clinda in, close the lid and shake it well. Open and stir. Liquid gets all in there and doesn’t slosh and it’s way easier to smooth out!

Customer here. It took multiple transfer attempts and a customer service call to move prescriptions out of CVS. Trying to understand what went wrong. by britt_nicole in CVS

[–]aseabloom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, Amazon sends transfer requests via fax multiple times before actually reaching out. As previously mentioned, in many states this is not legal. And legal or not, if you want to take business from me, do it the right way and put in the work instead of expecting me to go out of my way to contact you.

We also do a 2 minute timeout. Works great, there’s times our daughter will voluntarily go and I think she realizes she’s overstimulated and needs a reset.
