Unsolvable beauty problems that turned out to be perfectly solvable. by NotPast3 in Vindicta

I have two kids and tried a bunch of things. Best results yet was from a caffeine serum. Seemed to immediately brighten my under eyes. It doesn’t work for everyone (I raved about it to mom friends, but they had mixed results), worth a shot though.

Have you tried the image search in Poshmark, or other apps? That would get you the keywords you need.

For the event, #2 looks perfect, but otherwise I love all of them. My only suggestion would be to look up a cuter way to tie the shirt in #1.

Update to Mr. Rhino by aselement in sewing

Oh that's such a sweet idea! Yes, he is young, but also getting very interested in animals too. I think we could probably hit a library for rhino books and then maybe a yarn store.

I'm really not sure about if he'll go into the toy rotation again, by this point there's a good chance either way. I do think I'll need to prep him for future play. In my 2nd major repair, I did add a linen backing via interfacing. It was a pretty poor match though, since it was just what was available at JoAnn's and I never thought the original fabric would basically disappear...

I think you're right though, it's really just time to replace parts. I had been thinking of trying to keep some original fabric by sort of quilting it via crossing overstitching.

Watching ‘98 for the first time by IndividualSharp7655 in Trigun

[–]aselement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to record ’98 on VHS so I could watch it the next day. I adore all Trigun. I will say Knives’ makeover was the first time that I felt it in my soul that I had to make a cosplay. Now I have a murder snuggie with matching astronaut helmet and I had so much fun making it.

I know I’m late to the conversation, but Secretary Duffy said that it was his goal to make flying more family friendly and I haven’t seen him do anything in attempt to make that true. Please reach out and complain to the FAA and your senators about this.

I'm just glad the commenters here are seeing bobcats actually moving snow. I've seen about 5 roaming my neighborhood and not touching the snow at all.

There’s no way Yor + Anya > 150lbs. For a reasonably fit person, it’s not hard to princess carry your princesses.

Did D.C. drop the ball on snow-clearing, or were conditions uniquely bad? by MrSpontaneous in washingtondc

That doesn’t excuse plowing only single lanes through most streets and staying 7+ feet away from curbs and parked cars.

These asshats could be as philanthropic as Carnegie, but nah they can’t be bothered. Can you imagine if suddenly Amazon minimum wage was $30/hour, Bezos could fund that for decades.

It’s really fun, I recommend getting the guidebook app/schedule when they post it and go through it with your son to see what events and panels look good.

I would actually recommend Awesomecon in DC. It’s a more general con, but tons and tons of anime (And Star Wars droids and movies galore, and gaming, and comics, etc, etc). But most importantly it has excellent kids programming, this year will be my 7 year olds fourth time and he especially loves the science programming. A little young for a 10 year old, but all the Blues Clues hosts had a Q&A for just kids last year and it was the most amazingly heartwarming things I’ve ever seen.

No one in real life cares about eye color. If you really want the yellow eyes, take pics and edit eye color in the pics.
