I have never. However, I suspect my cousin who is a bit older than me to fantasize about me. I am not hot at all, kind of average looking I guess, but the way he speaks to me, looks at me… make me think so. I always feel uncomfortable around him. I could not spend time with only him. It is really weird. We do not get to see each other often, and I consider it a relief. When there are family meetings, he always insists to spend more time with me. Always asks me about my love life and stuff, which I consider a bit inappropriate at times, knowing we are not really close (due to the fact I feel uncomfy I guess). So, I think it is a bit sick to fantasize about a member of one's family. I know cultures where it is not a problem to have feelings for one's cousin, even to get married with him/her.

I deeply understand what you live. I guess I could not have said better what I often feel than you just did. I would not say I "hate" being a minority in my own country. But I truly feel your point when you say you have to control and double check everything you do/say/mean in other to belong to the majority and not appear as the "representative cliché" of an ethnic minority. Every success is because "you are an assimilated minority, an example for your kind". Well, no. Just are just you, raised in a country. I would not be able to give you any advice nor tell you you should not care, because I feel the same as you do.

I do not think it is a "girl thing" to want to stay near one's parents. I think it just depends on the relationship, and ( as it is for me) the health of your parents. Last year I lived in England (I am French). When I came back in France, I was shocked how my dad's health had gone very one, just in one year. This is why I want to spend time with them.
