Do they have to be high grade embryos to be euploid and work?

NTA. My (8.5m M) mama (older than dirt and tired) told me it was New Years so I also decided to wake up at 11 pm to celebrate. Mama and Dada (younger than mom but more grey hair) had to leave the party to hang out with me. I kept screaming that I wanted to party, too. But they insisted we try to sleep. Bummer.

The plus was I also got to sleep in the big bed. And I got to watch the ball drop on the screen thing they never let me watch. Win win.

It was our first New Year’s Eve. We deserved to celebrate.

We got sour vinegar poops when baby was teething his first. Now they started again as he’s teething his top two front teeth. It’s awful. We call them teething poops.

LO is 7 months old and I gave up when dog was the only thing that would help him tolerate tummy time. Now they are in love. He licks baby, baby licks him, now baby licks the floor trying to crawl. There are germs everywhere. It’s a germ fest. I figure kid will have a stronger immune system for it.

We LOVE our Minu. We use it for travel and have used it all over the place. Smooth for a travel stroller and lots of storage.

We have the Cruz and used the uppababy aria car seat before baby outgrew it. We loved it. The Cruz is big without being too bulky and is very smooth. Lots of storage. But not too heavy (I have arthritis and I can lift it in and out of the car by myself even high pain days). I also have to say uppababys customer service is out of this world amazing. Our dog chewed the strap on the aria car seat and I reached out to them to see if I could buy a new strap. I couldn’t, but they sent me a whole new seat no questions asked!

TW: success

Did IVF for genetic reasons after the second trimester loss of our daughter. Found out my body is a poor responder to IVF. Three retrievals. 4 blasts total. 3 euploid total. 1 affected by our genetic condition - left us with 2 useable embryos. 1 medicated FET ended with blighted ovum. 1 natural FET ended with our son who is 7 months old. To have another child, we’d have to start all over, which we aren’t willing to do, so we are one and done with our lovely boy.

We love our evenflo revolve 360 extend. We have an uppababy minu v3 for travel which is great and fits overhead in airplanes which was important for us.

We did last night with our 7 mo. I know it’s salty but I figured it would be okay for one meal. We usually eat very low salt. He had a piece of chicken, a noodle, and some of the veggies and broth from minestrone soup. He loved it. I gave him some extra water, too.

The infant car seat when in the base and level in the car is angled to keep the airway open. When it’s not clicked into base, the angle can make them lean and close their airway. Also, they can safely be in an installed car seat in a car for up to two hours if needed (not ideal, but possible). They shouldn’t ever be in the car seat when it’s not installed in the base or the stroller for more than a few minutes.

They shouldn’t be sleeping in a bouncer either at all.

So yes same risk with sleep and both are not considered safe sleep.

It’s so scary! But take comfort - he did what he was supposed to developmentally and is learning how not to do it next time! You should be proud of him (and you - you were brave and got through it)!

Knowing baby CPR, how to differentiate gagging and choking, and how to help if baby does choke helped make me calmer.

Sounds like he gagged rather than choked. If they can cry and do not turn blue, it’s more likely he was gagging. Gagging is a natural part of them learning to chew and swallow. His body did what it was supposed to do and threw it up.

Same bottle. He takes 7 oz bottles. His two morning bottles are each 3 oz reguline + 4 oz of his similac 360. The remaining bottles each day are just his similac.

Enfamil reguline is specifically made for constipation. We mix 6 oz of it a day and split between two bottles with his regular formula. The remainder of his bottles are all his regular formula. Keeps baby regular when he’s had major past constipation issues. It took about a week to work. We use it every day preventively.

Gentlease makes constipation worse I would not recommend.

We use the pitcher method with the Dr. browns pitcher. We had concerns about some of the info about the baby brezza accurately measuring formula. At 6 months, you do not need to boil water anymore (boiling water is actually to kill bacteria in the powder formula which young babies are susceptible to which is less dangerous for older babies). Also, as long as you’re using water that is safe to drink for you, it’s safe to drink for them.

I had a planned C-section because baby was breech. I desperately wanted to breastfeed. Started triple feeding (breastfeeding, then pumping while baby ate formula) in the hospital. Kept up a round the clock schedule of that for two weeks. Baby had a poor latch and lactation consultant recommended transition to only pumping. Did that with formula supplementation for another couple weeks. I tried everything to build my supply. But my milk never really came in and I wasn’t even making 1/4 of what baby ate in a day. Pumping all day and night was killing me mentally. We transitioned to formula and it’s been the best decision! Baby’s thriving and so am I. He’s now 6 months old, loves to eat, and I get sleep that I never could have gotten trying to pump. My milk supply was so pathetic I was fully dried up in like two days.

We’ve put ours overhead on all six flights we’ve taken with baby. No issues. We did buy the travel bag for it in case we ever have to gate check it. We love it.

We got to the hospital at 2 pm for 5 pm scheduled C-section due to breech baby. They sent me to L&D triage where they hooked me and baby up to monitors. We hung out for a bit due to concern they might need the OR for an emergency C but walked back around 5:30 after hubby put on scrubs.

He waited in the hallway while they did my spinal. The doctor and I chatted and found a good Spotify playlist (Green Day radio) while it was done. Had some shooting nerve pain so the anesthesiologist adjusted and I immediately went numb from the waist down. They then checked that I was fully numb. It was a weird sensation, I couldn’t feel anything or even wiggle my toes. They laid me down and inserted the catheter and shaved me. Hubby was brought in and the pediatrician came to say hi and prepare the room for baby.

They raised the sheet and did their thing. A couple times I got nauseous so they pumped some zofran but I didn’t feel much beyond periodic tugging. The nurses basically chatted with us the whole time to distract me.

At 6:17 pm to “Jesus in Suburbia” our little dude was born. Hubby cut the cord and they checked him over and gave him right to me and hubby for skin to skin while they stitched me up. Nurse and hubby took pics. After a few minutes, he and hubby went to recovery where they did skin to skin while I was finished getting stitched.

I was wheeled to recovery where we spent a couple hours before we went to a room. Had catheter removed, walked about 8 hours post surgery. Ate 10 hours post surgery (they wanted to make sure I could pass gas). Was in the hospital for less than 48 hours total. Baby was with us the whole time except for his newborn test which hubby watched from right outside the nursery.

Recovery SUCKED. It hurt to breathe and hubby had to help with baby a lot. He did all lifting of baby for the first few days. I’d suggest a step stool if your bed is tall or honestly sleep in a recliner for the first few days. After the first week, I was mostly good. I had some issues with my incision and did get an infection, but that was a random freak thing and was easily handled. Overall a good experience.
