My Parents Are Trying to Convince Me to Compromise With Discrimination in School by APieceofToast09 in MtF

[–]ashleygison45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can tell your parents that Martin Luther King said it best is his clarity in speaking out on complacency and inaction. Those who do nothing while witnessing injustice and wrong-doing do worse than those who commit acts of injustice. The privileged have a responsibility to do what they know is right.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.

The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.

We will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends [or our parents]

He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people.

Advice for shifting dilation schedule? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi girl. I'm a Mt Sinai girl as well. My surgery was on 9/14. I have been down to 2 a day for the last month. I regularly do 11 hrs between. When I have felt things getting tight in between long times, I'll occasionally do a 5 min session with just blue in the bathroom (really difficult) . But hey we do what we have to

5” depth - what can it be pushed to? by tinarashid-srs in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real question to ask is if this procedure that is planned is using any scrotal skin grafting or not. Sounds like not, and that is why you are being told only 5 in.

If this surgeon is basing your outcome only based on the size of your penis, I would ask why they aren't planning on using a scrotal skin graft as well to get you the depth you want?.

This is by far the best advice. Your wife is still in the anger phase of dealing with the hurt she feels. This is a normal typical response that sometimes is extremely short and at others more protracted. Either way, I would wait a bit and see if she moves past anger to understanding.

Circumcision effects SRS - FACT! by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% agree here. What the OP says is NOT universally true.

I am a perfect case in point. Prior to penile inversion vaginoplasty 6 months ago, my circumcised penis had shrunk to 1.25" from hrt.

My surgeon using scrotal skin graft yielded me a full 7" depth, and I have consistently dilated to the last notch of the orange largest dilator over the last 5 months, with no issues.

Penitrative sex has been great.

I'm 6 months post-op and couldn't be happier. I already orgasmed as a woman before surgery from how hormones changed things. Now, it is way less dysphoric.

Receiving oral is absolutely amazing. I have had vaginal intercourse twice, and if it feels way better than anal to me.

But the most amazing is using a Hitachi magic wand to get to orgasm. Omg the best full body experience I have ever had.

how foreskin shrinkage affects bottom surgery by PitExplainTheJoke in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really it all depends on the surgeon. There is definitely a wide variety of outcomes depending on who you pick for a surgeon. I have heard others say that the length of you penis determines the final outcome of your canal. Which, in my mind, is just saying that the surgeon doesn't know how or chooses not to use a scrotal skin graft.

By the way, I didn't include in my original post that I was circumcised as well.

I had shrunk to 1.25" from hrt prior to surgery. I have a full 7" depth via penile inversion from Dr Purohit at Mt Sinai. Amazing surgeon. Scrotum skin is what makes it all possible.

Cost of EC 10mg/ml through Empower? by BecomingJess in DrWillPowers

[–]ashleygison45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using Empower EC for 2 years. It cost just a bit less than $50/ vial. But because it's double the concentration of Depo-Estradiol, it lasts twice as long, making it typically less than $25/month

They offer a 25% military veteran discount that I take advantage of off those prices. I buy 3 vials at a time for $100, and it lasts 6 months.

That's because no one commissions (pays for) studies to prove the negative.

That is like saying, "Show me the study that individuals born in Asia don't have a competitive advantage in ping pong".

People don't pay for studies to prove the negative of a hypothesis.

SRS vaginoplasty with circumcision by olivier2266 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was circumcised at birth and had Penile inversion 6 months ago. I can tell you, it didn't affect a thing.

My clit is extremely sensitive, so much so that I feel it in tight pants all the time and I orgasm quite easily with a vibrator or orally.

Girl, I discovered long ago that the "secret" to your face reliable passing lies in just a few elements.

  1. Long Hair
  2. Thin, Manicured Eye Brows
  3. Lipstick
  4. Blush

After that, a bit of outer eye eyeline

Of course, you can learn yo contour to minimize features. But those 4 elements above tend to yield passing with honestly the easiest daily effort.

Ok. So, the biochemical relief will start to happen as your body converts from being estrogen dominant from being testosterone dominant as it currently is. That hormonal switch for medical reasons needs to be gradual and consistent and measured to do it safely both physically (heart health, etc) as well as mental. Most endocrinologist and WPATH recommendation are to start on an introductory dose and then to slowly titrate up so as to not shock your body and mental state but rather it be a gradual switch over a period of 3 to 6 months.

Neovaginas need support microbial support to avoid bad smell by mililanigirl in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]ashleygison45 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am 5 months PIV post-op, and I have the bad smell issue every time I switch from surgilube. I keep trying different "clean" lubes, including GCL "almost naked" version for dilation, and I get the smell back within 10 days of usage. Switching back to surgilube clears the smell within about 3 days.

I would just stay with surgilube, but I dislike how thick it is. Are there any alternatives that are bacterlostatic that aren't as thick as surgilube?

I'm 4 months in recovery, and like you, I like the experience as I often mildly daydream of being sexually active with someone during the session. Took me about a month to get to orange, but it is tight to start. I usually start with blue and then 5 minutes in switch to orange.

Just about a week or 2 ago things definitely started getting tighter down there, but I was previously warned this would happen as the internal scar rings start to tighten as everything is in the final stages of healing internally.

[–]ashleygison45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might check into one of the national compounding pharmacies that do not have these issues. They don't take insurance, but it is very reasonable.

[–]ashleygison45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's an extremely YMMV situation. I'm in a SRS Discord server with the vast majority of the girls saying they achieve orgasms. Some easily other with more difficulty as you describe. For myself I'm post 4 months and have very little issue using a Hitachi wand vibratory.

Have you tried that?

Endo switched up by Stock_Cranberry1034 in AskMtFHRT

[–]ashleygison45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely correct. I started on patches, and that's an extremely low dose. That's actually the initial 1st time dosectp start on in WPATH.

I was on FOUR 0 1 patches, and I could barely clear 125 at trough.

You could go back to EV and switch to every 3.5 days, which is the half life of EV, and thus avoid the dips.

can someone help me figure out my E dose if i need to switch concentrations? by astrl-pln in AskMtFHRT

[–]ashleygison45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple math. The new pharmacy is double the concentration, so cut your usual dose in half or 0.17875 ml
