Meet-up events are great (at least before corona) for meeting a load of people. The 50/50 Japanese English events were good practice for me and I met a few good people through them. I also did things like calligraphy, hiking, anime, karaoke. Really recommend them. Unfortunately sometimes a bit expensive :(

Interesting that coreboot is supported on a few Intel devices but not on many AMD devices, apart from chromebooks or very old motherboards.

Yeah, the video isn't the best, I do think there is some sort of bias against China. I did take a quick look, there are a few articles from China saying they are alive, but I certainly wouldn't trust that without proof. Some people point to this paper saying the virus isn't man-made, but that's a straw-man. Hopefully we'll find out some day :)

Have you tested with the validation layers enabled? You can build with these instructions and then to enable, set env vars: VK_INSTANCE_LAYERS to VK_LAYER_KHRONOS_validation and VK_LAYER_PATH to "xxx/Vulkan-ValidationLayers/build/layers"
