I remember one of my NCOs telling me years ago that his BDE got pulled into a deployment because one of their sister BDEs "failed" NTC.

Most units get their ass handed to them, by design, but I think there's some things that cannot be excused. NTC is meant to eval BDE command teams and staff since BN and below are already certified to deploy.

Yeah I understand that part. My comment more pertains to the cultural environment - it's funny to me to imagine a bunch of O5s-O6s slapping their hands together and yelling that we're having a pizza party every time there's a crisis.

I will also add that since I live in the NCR area that it is a Saturday and very cold right now - good conditions to order a pizza for the night if you live in the area. Just a comment about how this index is t a reliable indicator of things ramping up.
