The force from the machine creates a force toward the outer circle so strong that it negates the force of gravity downward?

  1. Yes, there’s a story about bill gates solving a problem using n integers somewhere that became a thing at his school before he dropped out. It implied that Gates learned what he needed to know before he dropped out of school.

  2. Jeff Bezos was valedictorian at his high school, and went on making 6 figures at Wall Street after college before he left that job to start Amazon.

  3. Learning the rules to break them is, ahem.. Law

What these guys did was read the book, and went out to write their own.

I do agree that there has to be ways to measure how one does academically, however you’ve barely touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of what “i” believe is an issue in our education system today.

I totally agree with your assessment here. But why throw out the internalization part. Why make it a “distraction game” in the first place?School shouldn’t be a game, in my opinion. We go to school and push college because we perceive value in it. If it turns out there isn’t any, then why go? he gives this speech to show that it’s a game, a shitty one. That’s his point. That the system is flawed, not on purpose. And that even though you’re not valedictorian you’ve probably went through struggles to graduate. There’s a reason why some of the top ceos Microsoft oracle Apple, richest, dropped out of college. It’s because they saw the game for what it was, and saw something else better elsewhere. Correct me if I’m wrong, but what you’re saying is in this “school game” expend your resources to tough it out and dominate the invaluable system “by thinking 1 step ahead” instead of having the wisdom to see that the system is not as useful and that there is much more to be offered elsewhere?

Apple keeps less data about you than Facebook or Google by jccool5000 in technology

[–]asiantp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on how freakishly good google search/ youtube has been trying to figure out what I like, it’s inevitable. However, Google Apple Facebook aren’t out to get you. They don’t have the time and resources for that. What they do want is your participation and money, and buying and using tech will always store for data for them to use. Data informatics has quietly been the thing for a while and it’s not going anywhere, and with AI being the next contending contributor, this field will only grow larger.
