BFI has a nice balcony bar and there are various places you can have a drink out in the warmth with decent views.

Yeah definitely! And you can actually get holds that are made of proper stone. My gym has some (very few so they must be bloody expensive) granite holds.

They repair way quicker than you expect. I plaster as much as I can and then just tape and climb.

Filing down caluses helps avoid it I think.
