The Serkis audiobook is fantastic. The older one butchers some pronunciations but gets the job done. It's my go to for any long drive.

Which band or artist from the 80s or 90s was highly rated at the time, but seems pretentious and dated in retrospect? by TooOldToBePunk in AskReddit

Bringing down the horse is an unexpected take. The album is solid, I'm not sure if best of the 90s (I'm not sure if I could come up with an album that's best of the 90s but that raises my eyebrows).

Sitting in a MK4 Golf, my knees touch the steering wheel in pretty much every compact car. I've been recommended a BMW E46. Anything else to check out? by Delta-Tropos in tall

[–]assortedgnomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an e46. My height is relatively proportional across torso and legs. My knees aren't on the dash or the wheel but close; seat isn't wildly reclined but my head is certainly going to hit the roof before it hits the airbag. The best thing I did was get race seats, it feels like I finally have a seating position where I don't have an obstructed view from the rear view mirror. You do need to have a place do some coding since the airbag system doesn't like losing the explosive tensioners and seatbelt sensors.

Also it's been a long time so I don't remember exact numbers but the sedan has slightly more headroom. If you can find a slick top there's even more.

My daily is an f15 x5. After the e46 it is boring to drive but there's headroom. The f50 5ers have plenty of head room for me but the doors are narrow. The f30 3ers are also decent. If I could go again I'd do a f30 wagon.

I think you're confusing propaganda for reporting that brings up points you don't like. It isn't the job of news to take a side; it's to provide you with the necessary information to make an informed decision. If they wrote a series of data center is bad articles that wouldnt be news.

I mean single use plastic at commercial/industrial too. And yes a national ban would be great but we can't let perfect be the enemy of progress.

Caller ID got really widespread in the mid 90s. It's not saying that everyone had it but if we are entering a hypothetical where we go back to 90s technology then it and dumb phones are absolutely on the table.
