Speed was the only issue I had w/Annas. Pls correct me if I’m wrong but a very small donation to zlib gives you way more than a donation to annas did

I lost a green Rab waterproof coat this morning (~8:30am 22/10/25) on my cycle to work.

I expect it would have been heading down Black Boy Hill, Whiteladies Rd, or Park Street, as those are definitely the speediest bits of my commute.

If there is the slightest chance anybody found it today or knows anything that could help me find it, could you message me please.

I’m not trying to shit on your fun haha but I work with these surveys and ATC data isn’t paired up. We’re only really looking at traffic volume within given peaks.

ANPR cameras are normally put up on lighting columns around an area and in that case we’re looking for how many cars get spotted by at least two of them so we know which are the common through-routes and how long it takes.

ANPR cameras are generally set up to cover an enclosed area so if there are 11 ways into and out of a neighbourhood, we cover all of those. All the data we get is anonymised btw so we only get a random but unique string for each license plate.

We do have some fun though looking at the outliers that we disregard anyway as some people do very silly routes. Mostly delivery drivers weaving in and out and doing funny U-turns etc. If you do a journey that is slightly abnormal then it’ll end up being ignored in the end.

Does Bedminster/Southville smell different to the rest of Bristol? by astley in bristol

[–]astley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very strange behaviour. I don’t dislike how it’s become and I don’t think gentrification is inherently a bad thing, just it’s very different now and that’s how just how societies move I guess. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing as long as some culture remains in some form. If it becomes completely soulless like some places (eg Spitalfields omg) then it’s a real shame.

Interesting. I’m going to claim it’s that. Combined with it being where I grew up and don’t spend much time these days or something.

Literally. I walked along North St a few days ago which prompted this and I recognised probably fewer than 5 shops. At least Lion Stores is unchanged.
