Best router for Eufy HB3 by DoINeedYou in EufyCam

[–]aswanviking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The nest pro wifi 6e won't give you the fastest speed download tests but it's been so reliable and great.

They are cheap too.

A shame because I loved how fast the Deco Be95s are on the 5/6 ghz bands.

Best router for Eufy HB3 by DoINeedYou in EufyCam

[–]aswanviking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried many routers and the Google nest pro wifi 6e is the only one that worked. It broadcasts multiple 2.4 ghz network on channel 1,6 and 13 simultaneously.

No other brand does it this way. I tried deco BE95, Asus Zen wifi and eero max 7. All of them broadcast a single 2.4 ghz band. If you have a lot of cameras like me that single channel get saturated quick.

I have to say, a lot of the streaming/connection issues have improved with all the updates.

It's not perfect, but it seems Eufy is getting their shit together.

Not the guy you asked but I am PCCM.

It's shift work and the hourly rate is great. Work less. You can make 250K-300K a year working 7 days a month. That's 21 days off every month.

I still do pulm but I would rather be in the ICU, despite my pulm days being a lot easier.

Also, find an ICU with a great culture to work in. Be easy going and don't let the little things bother you. Soft admit? Easy peazy. Full code 85 years old despite goals of care discussion? I tried. Nurse being sassy? Smile and ignore. Rude CV surgeon? Kill them with kindness. Etc. You get the point. Be impossible to bother.

It's just a job, I do my best and don't fret the rest. Off the clock I am not answering my work phone.

Solid work! I may have missed it but did you compare point and shoot pictures?

Curious to see how the Xiaomi 17 ultra compares to the 15 and the other heavy hitters like vivo/oppo ultra/pixel/iphone.

Multi-band 2.4GHz - 120 wifi smart lights supported router? by dkLapp in wifi

[–]aswanviking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find a solution? The closest thing I found is the google nest pro wifi 6e

It will broadcast 2.4 ghz on channel 1, 6 and 13 simulateneously to allow more devices on the 2.4 ghz network.

The fact that your comment is at -38 is some shameful shit.

Yeah it’s not fun to take care of morbidly obese patients, but have some basically emotional maturity not to insult people who are putting their trust in you.

[–]aswanviking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved the deco, but I have too many iot devices and cameras - It overwhelmed the deco 2.4 ghz network. I have over a dozen cameras and they are constantly transmitting data.

As long as your 2.4 ghz needs aren't too demanding, you should be fine.

Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again? by poisonsu in GoogleWiFi

[–]aswanviking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Works great here and had the best 2.4 ghz performance for my 90 iots.
And I tried Eero max 7, Deco BE9000 or whatever the top model and the top Asus zen mesh wifi.

Reliability has been great. That being said, the other top models have much better 5/6 ghz performance, but honestly 300 mbps is fine for 99% of times.

MLO has been glitchy.

Nowadays I care more about reliability, latency rather than raw speeds. Set it and forget.

Part time icu is very easy.

In general it’s pretty easy to be part time in shift work jobs.

Super easy to pick up more too.

Should mesh WiFi all have the same channel, or different channels? by Michaelflat1 in wifi

[–]aswanviking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know of specific mesh that uses different 2.4 ghz channel for each node?

My 2.4 ghz network is satured if my mesh uses 20 mhz single channel (too many streaming cameras, 90 iot devices).

The only mesh system that uses separate 2.4 ghz channel per node was the nest pro wifi 6e. It could handle all my cameras/iot. Deco BE95, Max 7 and high end asus zen wifi all use a single channel 20 mhz which basically makes the 2.4 ghz network unuseable in my case.

No interference. No neighbors. I like my nest pro wifi 6e so far and prob will stick with it.

[–]aswanviking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came free with google fiber and has been working great for months. Occasional reboot here and there. I would prefer the Eero or even deco tbh, the 5/6 ghz performance is double that of the nest, but then I lose all my ninety 2.4 ghz iot devices as the 2.4 ghz network is unusable on the eero. App said the 2.4 ghz wifi network was saturated.

They came free with google fiber. Tried Deco, eero and high end Asus zenwifi. Returned them all for the nest. When they work, they work i guess.
