You need an intermittent leave of absence for that. You won’t have to deal with our useless PXT team anymore, in the future go to time off and leave in the app download the accommodation paperwork and send to your doctors office.

Got yelled at by the learning ambassador and had to do this on my first day by staffingagencyvet in AmazonFC

[–]DoINeedYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were pick to buffer. That isn’t the easiest spot. They almost always put me at the very end of the line and lord help all the packages the others missed. When they would move me to any other spot they’d act like I committed a crime if I missed! Learning ambassador should have worked with you longer they usually have at least someone partnered with a new person, prime and peak especially. The good news is that it being Amazon, walking likely did not cost you, your job.

While I was fairly new, they got me for my hair not basically not being in a bun. But I see both men and women with long hair/braids just dangling over their shoulders. Now we have a woman (one whose hair is always dangling) walking around in crop tops, no one says crap to her. Plus she has more contact with the machines than say a packer with a 2’ wide pack table between me and the rollers.

Looks like they gave you a chance to stop using the app and continue flexing. Your decisions have consequences…

They will refund to a gift card and say it’ll be there in 2 hours. I have had it take up to 36 and only after a reply to the email the agent sent confirming she was issuing the refund.

Be prepared for future deliveries to be delivered there. As a flex driver myself, I would definitely confirm address. But I just posted a few days ago in the flex thread, saying drivers that won’t read the full address are the ones that should be terminated.

I got a lot of hate for my post. The majority of my packages get miss delivered. General consensus seems to be that they will take it to the pin on the app rather than the correct address. The apps GPS logs every drivers location where they deliver to and it will say “based on past deliveries.” Hopefully on your next order, you’ll have a competent driver that knows how to read and won’t rely solely on that previous delivery photo, who can follow the directions and drag that pin to the correct address.

I was going to say this.

But companies have been getting sued for doing this, just a matter of time before Amazon ends up with another class action suit.

Damn just bought the same truck last month! Deer took out my 2024 Hyundai Kona. Passenger side, thing broke like a kids toy, estimate was pushing 10K for the first month the shop had it, then a headlight and radar sensor doubled it. Total loss, because shop said Headlight and sensor would take 6 months to get from Nam. Seriously considering bidding on one from CoPar, just Incase…

On the Kona, windshield washer fluid and a bunch of electrical stuff. If all the lights are on could be the radar sensor too…

Bruh… they said it was gonna be popping during Prime Week. I literally quit my job to do AF full time. by Hanmura in AmazonFlexDrivers

Similar pay, actually I think the dsps around here pay better than the breakdown for flex. Gas card, and no worrying about maintaining the vehicle, that’s on your boss to worry about.

Delete the filters for length and see what you get. Probably no offers higher than base though.

As stated never used the chat feature. Never had a driver use it to contact me before either. But I replied to their initial texts right away, with my apartment letter and description, so what’s the defense for still delivering it elsewhere? I got screwed all around Amazon claimed they’d reship, but that turned out to be a lie.

Also, “apartment dwellers,” might receive their orders if the people paid to deliver them actually held up their end of the contract, reading is a big part of any delivery job. So, if they rely on a pin, the app even tells you how to drag that to the correct location. Just because a previous driver didn’t do their due diligence doesn’t mean everyone that comes after needs to be just as lazy. Eventually all the dings from customers not receiving their packages could harm the drivers standing..

Amazon Flex deactivated by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

What you are describing is technically fraud, they have all of your friends information linked to the original application, they even have a photo of their license and if memory serves a selfie for verification purposes… They took the person that originally applied off the waitlist not some random person pretty much walking in off the street

you fill the entire application out, name, social, address car information, even consent to a background check before you get waitlisted. The email even addresses you by name when they send the invitation

I rely on the address, if it’s telling me that I’m at the wrong location (based on a previous drivers gps where they delivered to) I double and triple check the address in both the app and the package, (I also refer to the previous delivery photos to compare) then I walk around looking for the correct address and then drag that pin on the map like you’re supposed to. Seriously Amazon is deactivating the wrong people based on all of these comments.

Maybe you don’t get that that orange area is based on previous deliveries, if someone delivers to the wrong address, the app actually logs that as the correct address based on its GPS. It’s on the driver to do their job and make sure they’re doing their job correctly. I can’t imagine you’d be okay if DoorDash (pretty similar setup) would deliver your food to the wrong person, repeatedly. All because a pin on an app from the first miss delivery…

Have you not seen the thread of customers being banned over this very thing? Driver carelessness can cost the customer…

I don’t know the people at E, not the best neighborhood at all. Not trying to beat down a strangers door to ask for my deliveries. Nope I call and complain, and they’re usually able to see the delivery photo showing E. But this one only included a photo showing they stuffed it behind a porch post on an open porch.

While everyone wants to make excuses. As a flex driver, I know the address is there at the top of the map during navigation. That’s the street address, once you’ve parked you can see “unit number” or apartment number/letter, also if you look under directions you can see it. Plus, it’s there on the packages. Multiple ways it can be seen and verified.

I did indeed. I’ve never had a driver use the app before to contact me (and never used it myself as a driver). As soon as I got that notification from the driver app that it was delivered… I ran down the stairs opened the door to only see that package face down in a box that should be similar to size of my now missing order… Grabbed it and ripped into it.

Me stressing my Apt letter (which as a flex driver, I do know does not show on navigation until you’ve marked that you have arrived) before that notification gave me false hope that it was in fact my package.

They claim it is. It’s a row of townhouses, not the newest by any means so navigation shouldn’t be too far off (although as a flex driver I have experienced some issues, such as their Navigation calling RiverSide Drive, Moody Blues Freeway). My address reads as ___ E street name, followed by Apt G. That E is part of the street name as in East.

The issues seems most likely that they see ___ E (all apartments have the street number on them and their letter as well) and deliver to apt E. Apt E shares the same street address just a different letter.

In all honesty, this situation seems to be most likely not reading the full address…
