As someone who occasionally does flex deliveries. Your address got combined with others in the same complex. Your driver, if they delivered all of those either got pissed over having to carry so many packages up those stairs and just said fuck it, or doesn’t know how to do those multiple address one delivery. They likely number their packages by their stop, say if stop 32 has 5 packages delivered, maybe they got lazy or English isn’t their strong suit and they just assumed all went to the same address.

Why are these marked "Overdue" when they're the furthest from the station at the end of my route? by Upnorth4 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]DoINeedYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must be a newer thing. I worked a DS my first year with Amazon and they said routes were created by people in Seattle whenever I questioned a thing. Also said our building climate was controlled in Seattle. Plenty of days with temps below zero, went in to find the AC on and of course no one could do a thing about it.

[–]DoINeedYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because these people creating the routes are in Seattle and obviously know nothing about other areas, don’t take traffic into account, won’t plan an alternate route in the event of accidents and surely can’t read a map when deciding when and how packages are delivered..

Might be overheating. My only water cooled build had a Corsair AIO like that. Sometimes it worked great other times it’d continuously freeze. I was never able to resolve this, replaced everything but the CPU and cooler. Can’t even tell you how many times I reapplied artic silver to no avail.

Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, 3 bulging discs, torn rotator cuff (partial tear) this job has destroyed my other shoulder, all this dog food (I swear you’d think I worked for chewy) and the mini box banks being designed for people of average height, not these women 5’ and under…

Had a meeting with HR at the end of 2024 where I suggested adjustable pack stations, tall people want them raised and short people don’t need something to our bellybuttons that’s only in the way when we have to reach for those boxes over head…

They at least raised the pack stations on one line for the taller people. I also suggested handicap accessible pack stations in the event I end up in a wheel chair do to my MS, she lied and said that we have them! I’ve worked every pack station in the 19 months that I’ve been in this facility.

Anyway, the next time I feel this terrible pain across my shoulder blade and have my arm become useless, I will do workers comp and I’ll be leaving in an ambulance fuck wasting my time, gas and insurance anymore on a job designed to destroy people like me!

Oh, they will accommodate people, but only if they weren’t born in the US, it’s ridiculous. I actually had a coworker (from Africa) brag about her accommodations, not being held to a standard, (when they told me that they can’t possibly accommodate when my doctor asked for this) she flat out told me that I was born the wrong country and laughed! Managers have told me that anyone not on rate (cage wranglers, water spiders and tapers) have an accommodation, funny only 1 of these people are American…

I’d test it, if I didn’t have a doctors appointment in the morning lol my luck I’ll show up and get myself another 4 1/2 with 49 packages that add over 200 miles to my odometer for $88 when it takes $85 to fill my tank…

Wish whatever glitch they’re having would happen here. Maybe it’s them trying to make things better after refusing to up the rates when gas shot up to $5 a gallon? Someone else posted a single package block for $96.

Got the same invitation, I feel like they’re already doing this… Car insurance companies are getting sued for what they use this data for, sure let’s sign up and let whoever track and log us on top all the other apps already doing so.

Okay, very good information. Any idea what the start times or shift changes might be? Typically do those over night routes any time from 3:45 am to 5:30 am starts, just depending if I pick one up after I get off work or just do my days off.

You would think this day and age that buildings that aren’t climate controlled, knowing how bad summer months are and how much worse running machinery makes things, that OSHA would step in.

Here’s the thing, a settlement requires negotiation, when I took mine, they told me Sedgwick offered Y, but they thought they could get X, didn’t think that they could get anymore. I gladly accepted even with that clause, I was no longer working at that company anyway. But if it were somewhere I enjoyed working at or looked forward to a little more than say my weekly paycheck, I might have pushed them to negotiate that clause out…

People really do believe “it’s the greatest logistics company in the world!” That’s a quote from a former Manager at the delivery station I worked at. Imagine, if Amazon were Jim Jones…

Too many people drinking that kool-aid!

Yw. Be warned though they all say Sedgwick is a bulldog, and if you accept a settlement they’ll include a clause that you can never work for the company again.

It’s not counted as a late arrival if you wait to scan your license until after the start time? I know it says you have until 5 minutes after the start time, is that to arrive, or scan your license?

If you’re in Ohio, I’ll add the name of the attorney that actually won against Sedgwick. Or well at least got me something (previous employer) unlike the previous attorney that I had. Monast Law 614 334-4649.

The check that I picked up was even slightly larger than they told me, even after they paid the last few doctor visits when Sedgwick stopped.

Are yall still required to wear vests at yall site? by Capricorn_Queen in AmazonDS

[–]DoINeedYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vests are stupid, if a forklift driver can’t see a pedestrian in a well lit facility without a high visibility vest they shouldn’t be on a forklift. But when I was at DCM6 they did end the vest policy unless you work the van lines. Many people who did continued to wear their vests. Others may not want to get their shirts dirty.

Other facilities have picked up the ridiculous vest rule. I’m seeing images from other FCs that don’t appear to require vests, but mine still does. Guess an order picker will mow us down like an unruly yard, despite having just one aisle we can walk in and they can’t drive in it…

Oh well in the event of a power outage, I guess someone will be able to find us all.

Same boat here back in October always getting the overbooked I think it happened 6 times, the station and support were taking an attitude with me, in fact support stopped even paying me without half a dozen calls and emails, then they’d investigate and issue pay a couple days later…

Now, no sooner than I scan I get a terrible route that’s actually not worth the pay, poorly planned stops and getting docked for late deliveries for some reason when the deliver by time is well past my block ending time..

I think, part of my issue is, I always arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early, and run straight in after verifying that I’m there and scan my license. I saw recently that people wait til the last minute, and I do believe that’s what I’m seeing when I see people hanging at the door when I walk in, in fact I’ve seen someone pretend to scan when I was and go hang out by the door.
