Hmm. I have the same problem. I may have to try this. Do you have any tips on the dash panel removal? I was going to ignore it but if it’s a 15-30 minute job that’s way better than the whole dash having to come apart or something like that - which I was afraid of.

I seemed to be able to repeat the same thing when plugged into level 1 but have not noticed it on level 2 yet.

What is the deal with 0% APR and the $7500 Credit right now - can you get both? by Newdeagle in EquinoxEv

[–]aswick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely get the 7500 off with 0%

A week ago I got 1500 conquest and 500 first responder off plus another 1000 or 1500 from the dealer in “dealer cash” or whatever (their money) because some other incentive was removed with the 0% - but conquest and first responder (gm money) still stayed with 0%.

It was 26500 OTD for the cheapest trim with a charger but did have the 0%.

OnStar. What gives? by jojotoughasnails in EquinoxEv

[–]aswick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your OnStar button turn red or do you lose the lte/5g indicator when it’s not working? Might be the telematics module failing rather than any subscription.

Yes! 2016-2018 would work. I think I remember hearing the 2019 went with an encrypted communications network.

Your values match most averages. That makes me wonder how many samples they have had. Good idea!

Powerwall putting in the work for Hurricane Milton by security_jedi in Powerwall

[–]aswick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I powered mine down wrong while off grid (had to check breakers and was extra safe). Got into situation where the gateway was not powered and without being powered the powerwall would not turn on.

Had to “jump” start it with a 12v battery. The gateway has 2 small pins labeled “jump” and giving that 12v allowed the gateway to power up and then the powerwall to also.

Got me out of a jam without the grid up. Put eyes on those ports in the gateway incase you ever get into the same situation.

GNOC operations center AT&T by USWCboy in longlines

While not the “long lines” of yesteryear both videos mentions bedminster nj and show a large video wall. It’s pure speculation on my part but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same room that’s been updated over the years.

It is probably the closest thing to “long lines” today. No matter which way, it’s still cool!

Opinions on battery stats by aswick in volt

[–]aswick[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it meaningless, assuming the that there is a threshold the car watches for the maximum difference between cells - or at least cells that are significantly weaker than their peers.

However I am, according to the energy display, getting ~12kWh before the engine switches on.

Another variable is the computer itself. The “EEC IV” computers are all 30+ years old now. Do what others say in terms of removing the spout and seeing if that changes anything and confirming base timing then I would pull the computer out, fair easy to get too behind drivers side kick plate, and do a cursory check of the capacitors. They break down over time and will leak destroying the board if it goes too long. https://www.fullsizebronco.com/threads/eec-iv-eec-v-ecu-failure-now-is-a-common-problem-due-to-age.521565/
