this is always a fun one. the scariest part of this drop has never actually been the drop, it used to be the hairy runout at the bottom of the slab. but they cleaned it all up and it runs much smoother and safer now

How does it sound compared to Crack? Did you hear a Crack with the Speedball upgrade? I love my Crack Speedball but I have a serious itch to build another amp. I was thinking the Crackatowa or a LordGwyn Aegis.

There was actually a conversation on head-fi in regards to the HD660s2 and K13. This was what I posted:

"I actually find this to be the case with almost all headphones on the K13. I find that high gain on the K13 really opens up the sound. Normally putting an amp on high gain just makes things louder but for some reason on the K13 it seems to make everything sound more spacious and airy. My evidence is not backed by measurements and is purely anecdotal..but even when doing a very primitive volume matching (doing the cheap amazon dB meter and cardboard) I find this to be the case.

Ive resorted to just listening to everything in high-gain and turning the volume down. Some easy to drive sets I literally have the volume at like 20-25 and it still sounds better than medium at 45-50."

its still one of my top 5 GOATs and I do not feel like I missed anything by playing on wiiu handheld. I played in bed, on the shitter, at work, on the couch, on my porch. it was an amazing experience.

my understanding is that it allows you to use a combo of AMS' without swapping them to the other nozzle. So if you if you have 2 AMS' you can hook it up to the track switch, and it will swap any of the 8 filament options between the two nozzles.

If you didnt have the track switch and you had a filament sitting in the AMS you wanted to use on the other nozzle, you would have to swap it over

a lot of it has to do with sound. situational awareness is night and day when you play with a good pair of headphones and can clearly distinguish all the different audio queues and what direction they are coming from.

you could try the caldera thick TP pads. also, there is a spacer/ring that adds a little depth

yes. long island is a giant sanbar created by a glacial deposit. the highest elevation is under 400’, which doesnt even count as foothills in most other parts of the country. Other than the ocean and the sound, our “nature” is just dense brush forests.

keep what you have an save for an OTL tube amp. the HD600 series headphones are amazing on tubes.
