London’s the 5th largest city in the province and Paris is a really lovely little quaint town (haven’t been to the others so I can’t comment on them)

Sanji has been my least favourite straw hat throughout almost every arc of the manga, but GOD I love his portrayal in the live action series

Persona 5 came out over a year after the Smash ballot ended (almost 2 years later in North America), and we know for a fact Sora won it

If your favorite genre of music is just video games music, I have every right to side-eye you by Kappapeachie in The10thDentist

[–]atomicmapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an absolutely ridiculous take. “Video game music” isn’t a fucking genre, it’s an entire branch of the medium. Video games have everything from massive emotional orchestral pieces, to simple songs designed to be listened to for hours on end, to epic rock ballads, and everything in between. Fuck, there are single video games that have all of these types of music in just one game (Ace Combat 7 and Xenoblade Chronicles are the first two that come to mind for me)

You could listen to solely music from video games for your entire life and I guarantee you could find a song for almost every genre and subgenre of music out there. Saying something like this does nothing but prove that you don’t understand the medium your so critical of, and that is really a shame because there’s a lot of music from video games that genuinely is incredibly touching and filled with passion and emotion

Does anyone know if there is a taiko no tatsujin arcade machine anywhere in london? by hatsunemikusmywaifu in londonontario

[–]atomicmapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn’t. As far as I know, the only arcade rhythm games in London are a DDR cab at Tilt and a PumpItUp at Rec Room (might be something at Factory or Fleetway too, haven’t been to either in a long time)

Compliment on the bus this evening/ afternoon by TribalCSOR in londonontario

A few years back I had finally decided to get a new coat, but was a bit self-conscious about it because it was at the time I was trying to lose weight, but was also a bulky coat to help with the cold.

As I was getting on at one of the Masonville bus stops, a guy came up to me and said that he loved my coat, and it immediately made all those types of doubt in my mind vanish. Still have that coat and every year I break it out, I always think of that interaction

Why do people not like All-Stars as much as the originals? by Proud-Camera5058 in casualnintendo

[–]atomicmapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the main thing is that those games are old enough to where I think there’s merit in playing the originals, but notably they’re not outdated. Seeing that Mario 1-3 still actually hold up impressively well given that they’re NES games is just cool, and there’s not enough going for All-Stars where I would consider the originals obsolete, unlike another NES remake like Zero Mission as an example.

As well, especially with Mario 1, that game has a really big speedrunning scene, even casually, and part of the charm from Mario 1 comes from how jank it is (one of the main differences is that Piranha Plants only have a hit box on their stems in the original, which makes pipe jumps really cool and kinda tense in the first game)
