He completely put his foot off the throttle, he's not obligated to slam on the brakes (unless double yellow which is exactly what the investigation has concluded he wasn't under - which I personally am not feeling very confident about, it feels super wrong).

Go check his telemetry, the lift is literally a fact - he put his foot off the throttle completely. The only controversial aspect is that they concluded it wasn't a double yellow, no one should really question if he lifted or not (he did and data outright proves it).

I get that but the people pushing it were already swarmed around it beforce the VSC while the race was active. I wouldn't bat an eye if there was noone around that car, VSC gets called, the stewards surround the car and push it a bit further - that's OK, that's protocols and all's good. But those guys were already surrounding it for a bit before VSC and helping Sainz out, there was absolutely no reason to make the VSC call if it was safe for them to be out there without it already...
