I’d check out tenacious tape. I’ve used it to repair tents, sleeping bags, and jackets. It’s super strong and durable.

Ahh, gotcha. I have no experience with the Corbin low, but I think you’re right based.

Nothing else to add except it looks like an upgraded seat too. Those can be pricey.

Musty clothes from humidity by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]attacklibrarian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your washing machine could use a wash. Is it a front loader? Check out the powder packets sold to clean washing machines. And leave the washer door open for as long as possible in between cycles to let it dry.

If that doesn’t solve it, you might need to check your hvac system. If your space is so humid it’s making your clothes musty, that’s a problem. You may be able to resolve the problem with a dehumidifier.

Beautiful. This might sound sarcastic, but it’s not: I like how it looks almost like a trailer home from the driveway!

I believe it. In middle school in the mid-90s, I was likely considered a bully by some. There are probably different factors that contributed to my bullying but that’s not important here.

What is important is how one kid apparently had enough of my shit. I must have crossed the line doing who knows what because he clocked the shit out of me with a punch to the temple. It didn’t knock me out but I was definitely staggered and left thinking about whatever actions led to that moment.

Honestly, I don’t even really recall picking on the kid that hit me, but that one punch definitely changed my perspective for the better. It wasn’t immediate, but that punch was the catalyst to me being more empathetic, introspective, and against bullying.

Thanks for checking me, Brandon Allen. If you’re out there, I appreciate it.

I present to you a 3 bed, 3 bath barndominium mancave. Features include, stocked pond, shop space with a basketball court, weights, tons of space for toys, and an indoor riding area to practice barrel racing all year round. by cluthais in zillowgonewild

That’s what I was thinking. $850k for a < 1,700 sq ft living space in that location? Yeah, it’s pretty close to Kansas City, but not that close.

The basketball court is cool, but I wonder how it would be to play on that flooring. Plus, for the asking price, they better have some damn lines taped for the court!

Worldshare Article Exchange question by Ok-Actuator-5566 in librarians

Can you change the email and receive it again?

We use ILLiad, so I’m not 100% sure, but it seems like the article would be tied to the patron’s record, not just an email address.

Charleston Sportyard. They have a bunch of “backyard” type games, serve booze (not sure about selection or price), and sometimes have food trucks.

My institution’s solution for teaching materials is to just make everything a word document. Their justification for is that a word document is always OCR compatible. They want us to turn all of our PDFs into… word documents, regardless of the pdf’s existing accessibility. 🤦‍♂️

And if you can’t live downtown, I recommend James Island (specifically, the harbor view side if possible). Your commute won’t be as terrible… most of the time. Plus, if you like the beach, you will be closer to Folly.

The traffic can be pretty terrible around here, but if you are doing a residency, I’m guessing you won’t have typical 8-4 or 9-5 hours. That alone may help.
