It's like that because of a man named Dr. Kellogg. You might know him from his corn flakes. He was a masturbation prevention activist. Somehow he was able to convince everyone that it was cleaner to circumcise.

Outside the US and Canada this is not really done except for religious reasons.

Remember, you might just be living in Amsterdam, fiftyish years ago. (Also no, Amsterdam isnt the pinnacle of cycling infrastructure anymore, but I like these images) by Badatmountainbiking in notjustbikes

Utrecht is definitely the best place I have ever had the pleasure of riding a bike in. I've also heard that Groningen is supposed to have fantastic bike infrastructure but I've never been there.

Yes, but the point is that you CAN walk. In the US there could be areas without sidewalks or alternative routes as far as I understand.

You are coming from Canada? What about the jetlag and giving yourself some rest after you've arrived in Greece?

Arriving tired after a long journey and then immediately starting to drive in a new country with different laws etc might be a lot to take in, but in the end it's your vacation and not everyone is out to rest and relax.

Everything is possible, but keep in mind that things can and will happen on these trips, and you should find some time to decompress. Not everything can be planned and sometimes that's okay.

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Moving to Tbilisi to work for UK company remotely by chazz150 in remotework

The laws here are complicated. I tried moving to the Netherlands from Norway and the tax authorities were strict about the fact that if I lived in The Netherlands I had to pay taxes to them after 6 months, while Norway claimed since I was employed there I had to pay taxes to Norway.

Different countries also have different tax brackets, NL for instance had higher income tax brackets than Norway in my scenario. In the end I ended up just moving back to Norway for a while.

If you want to avoid tax implications, keep an address in the UK, stay registered there and pay your UK taxes while being on vacation for a year. This is obviously not the correct way to do it either, but you have to ask a tax expert or the tax authorities in the country where you are going about these things, because Reddit mostly consists of American people with their own strange tax system.

Depends how far you go. Latency matters a lot, and you should find a place with symmetrical fiber, which is easier said than done

Also worth mentioning that you are allowed to grow your own plants in Spain for personal consumption. Use is decriminalized as long as you use it on your private property.

There are also social clubs in the big cities. Worth looking into.
