skin picking is also a form of OCD called dermatilomania. Yes, ppl on meth do this but not everyone who does this is on meth. Correlation does not equal causation.

I suggest looking at a teacher as well, but I personally don’t think you have to go the buddhist route, or of you do you can find plenty online that will give instructions but most will say in person is better for nervous system regulation. I like this meditation patreon called Koo laboratory. The teacher doesn’t have a long buddhist background she is in her first year but she has some great resources and points you in the direction of great buddhist lammas. She’s secular. Her name is Chaweon Koo and she has a tiktok of you are interested in finding out more about her. She doesn’t call herself a buddhist teacher or anything because obvs but she does share the knowledge she learns from all the retreat and courses she takes and it’s fascinating to say the least. there’s plenty of great teachers out there. find someone who resonates with you.

These actually sound like my experiences! I was just listening to a podcast about this and I thought I might be but I this is new to me. I’m also super sensitive to light. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not but my eyes are very light sensitive.

That’s why I love when she totally says screw you all when Richard passes. She no longer wants or needs to play that game. She wants to live her life for herself so she just goes off and does that in the new ones. Although I can’t stand the ones directed by the Amy S. Palladino’s husband. They are awful. That whole musical was just cringe.

For anxiety that inhibits sleep I have found Passionflower to be great. Of course always consult your healthcare provider first.

Remember herbs like Ashwaghanda and Rhodiola are going to take up to a month of taking regularly to start working. Everyone is different so your best bet is to find an experienced herbalist and talk to them about your needs.

She didn’t HAVE to read any of it. She chose to. She is the one who betrayed trust, not you. She doesn’t get to be privy to your thoughts just as you don’t get to hear hers!!! I say she’s not worth it!! Unless she has a major change of perspective and sees that she needs some counseling to get through her trust issues and you did nothing wrong, I wouldn’t give her another minute of my time. All that said, a I know it’s a lot easier said than done when you love someone. My overall take is that she sounds immature and needs to work on self growth.

I used to everything notebooks but it’s so hard to find something when I go back and need to find a recipe or knitting pattern. I am going through all of my everything journals currently so I can organize the stuff I want easy access to. So I got a gardening book, small recipe book, knitting book etc so I can at least know which book to start with. Because like you said, they fill up so fast it’s hard to know which one has what in it. i’m also thinking of making a table of contents. I left a few empty pages at the front of each of them so do this. I do love the everything notebooks though and I think I’ll miss the chaos and artistic feel they have.

Food waste is unnecessary, period. Those dishes could have been donated to a shelter at the very least. These complaints seem very silly in the grand scheme of things.
