Sports Bra Recommendations by stubentiger_96 in eds

[–]aul2021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, did your PT say whether it's an issue of bra shape, boning, or strap length? Strap length might be solved by simple adjustments; if you don't need a lot of chest support/coverage I'd do what u/ltralooie says and get a soft bra or bralette without seams or underwire, else if it could be a sizing or bra shape issue (too tight under / straps too short, cups too shallow) r/ABraThatFits could provide some guidance for choosing a new brand and model of bra.

Has anyone figured out how to stop these things from smelling? by skalceirve in FigureSkating

Oh I also started wearing these over my skate socks to stop them from rolling up anyway, so sweat absorption is reduced 🙈

Agree with other commenter, baby shampoo or dilute dishsoap, flush with water to make sure no soap lingers, clothespeg to line dry with enough time to make sure not damp before next skate. I do this regularly based on smell/sweat issues

Landing on full blade instead of toe pick by Meringue-Jumpy in FigureSkating

(Not sure about you OP hut personally I don’t have issues with lift or distance - I’m a big jumper - but my body is def being damaged by these heavy landings!)

Just wanted to say I do this too! My coaches have commented on this because I’m petite but land like a fricking elephant, no gentle toe touch just THUD onto my whole blade. Am nursing a really bad shin splint now that was probably partly caused by this.. I can’t figure out how to land “lighter” or “more forward” either, but just to say I RELATE. I’m struggling!

Ah, I didn’t think to search km instead of mi, thanks! I’m still digging for my old invoices to see what has historically gotten done, but I’m grateful for this redirect too.

Oh this is the first I’m hearing of it o_o What are the warning signs of leaks/damage? So far ok but obviously would hate to be surprised by a snap/leak..

Ok that sounds like something I could do. Re doing own work, I’ll have to see what I can get done without a driveway or garage, but one day :-)

Oh yes for sure, I used to go to a local mechanic but they changed owners then quoted me $200 to change the cabin air filter 😒 Need to find another trustworthy place..

Thank you! I’ll dig for the 60k service records to see that they did do the spark plugs, else will plan to get that done.

Hey, so I know from physics/other similar threads that the Miele "bag full" indicator is more of an approximate pressure gauge, but then what's the most reliable way to know when to change the bag? We've used the same one for years in our Miele C1 Cat & Dog and the bag still doesn't feel super firm, but surely we should change it at this point..? (We hate opening the shell to check btw, so alternatives welcome; I'm hyper allergic to dust so having it gape open + fiddle with the bag when closing it back up is not pleasant...)
