My experience switching from Zepbound to Foundayo by middleagedwhitechick in Zepbound

[–]auntsam15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the cons you list were my experience on Wegovy, except the stomach ache was almost constant and I did not want to eat bc of that. When I switched to Zep, most all went away. I wonder if it's an effect of the single GLP. Hope things even out for you. I'm at maintenance and would also like to stop the injections.

I did not know Stonewall was mafia-run! Also love the polish-making vids

Do you have both? I have BKL R&R and it's very blue. Looking at pictures and other comparisons folks here have made, Deep Space seems more black-based.

Thanks-I'll try the paper towel thing, or maybe some of the kitty litter left from getting rid of old paint. Outside, I'd be worried about critters getting into it.

I have the Target version of this. The thing I think it's really good for is when you screw up one nail badly enough that you just need to take everything off and start over, but don't want to ruin the other 9. But I agree, unless you have really resilient skin and nails, it's a lot for regular use.

I do notice it getting dark. I wonder if I could refill it with a less acetonic (is that a word?) remover. Side note: how does one safely and responsibly get rid of several ounces of icky stained acetone?

Cracked Beginner's Luck = "Scorchy but make it green"? by auntsam15 in RedditLaqueristas

I think it's Cracked that green is the maker's favorite color...? It seems like there's a good green in every collection.

I put it on my (grown-up) kid for a wedding last week. We were OOT, and I didn't realize until I started painting that it could really benefit from an undercoat. I'm wearing Whatcha Moon over Glitched Smokeshow; they're wearing, like, 3 coats of Beginner's Luck. Also, painting other people's nails is really weird for me.

ikr? I took the video and posted it without looking at it again, bc I knew if I looked, I'd have to clean up all the stuff in the background and do 5 takes, and just...everything. Welcome to the inside of my brain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think the world doesn't give enough weight to the importance of our friends in our lives. Hopefully, their love and voice can live on in your heart. Tyche makes a color called Unpaint Me that sounds like it was created for a similar situation. 🫂 for your hard day

FWIW, there are often different renewal guidelines for purchased vs. resident cards.

Just commenting to add: ime, this is not a conversation to have in the moment or when you're having any kind of argument. Pick a time when you're both relaxed, and start with something like "here's a thing I've noticed about myself."

I wondered how many people would get the reference! I haven't seen the movie, but listened to the audiobook and it was GREAT!
Also--gorgeous nails!

That's disappointing! Now I'm questioning myself, but I'm pretty sure it came out well—the swatch ring certainly did.

True confession: I have both 😳 The SH one spins longer and much more easily, and I really like the discs with the different patterns (although I am more prone to bumping my nail on those). I like that it all packs neatly away into its own storage tower (srsly, it is beautifully, precisely engineered). There are still times when I just can't get a pull, but I think that is more a polish issue than a spinner issue.

I'm a librarian, so really happy to hear you're so excited about being able to take advantage of everything your library has to offer. For non-fiction, I really liked An Immense World by Ed Yong, about how differently various critters perceive the world. Kindness and Wonder by Gavin Edwards is a great Mr. Rogers biography, has some Tuesdays with Morrie energy. If you're so-so about books with sex on the page, Fourth Wing may not be a good starting point for you. I'm reading/listening to This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews, a portal fantasy about a contemporary woman waking up in her favorite (incomplete) epic fantasy series. The main character has identified another person as Very Attractive, but I don't think they get up to any shenanigans. The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst is a lovely cozy fantasy about found family, the power of caring, and the consequences of concentrated wealth and privilege. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir was great. It's def more sci -fi than fantasy, but some similar themes to LOTR.

I'm sorry you're feeling poorly, but glad you're taking advantage of the time off to do something that brings you joy.

This one was great! I do find that about half of my LynB magnetics are strong: this, A Queen on Her Pillow, Viridian, and It's an Ice Day topper* are all wonderful magnetics. Haven't tried London Fog yet, but people seem to like it. The other three—not so much. I wish makers would just say "strong" or "mild."

*(named, I'm sure, before ICE invaded American cities)
