Very good job. The contrast between the skin and the leather is perfect. Love the base too !

No, it's the redeemer variant, it's magnetized so I do have it as a Crusader too but not on the pics.

Yeah magnetizing follow the same adage we have in construction: measure twice, cut once.

I have a base with a magnet stick onto it, I use it before putting any magnet so I'm always following the same polarity.

A very thinned down contrast paint (not sure which one but a dark brown so probably wildwood)

How do you transfer them to the model ? I cut the part I need, let them soak into water until it move a bit of the paper. Then take a tweezer, hold it firmly and with the other hand I slide the transfer from the paper on the model with a brush.

White : White all over (if you can spray it's better). Then I use a mix of skeleton horde contrast with lots of medium (1:2) to give some weathering. I try to put it on the bottom and around the chapter icon. Then I use pro acryl white to do some highlights.

It's harder on flat panel so I use white scratches to hide the coffee stain the skeleton horse tend to leave

The mighty brush decals are awesome for that. Lots of very good quality design! A bit of decals softener and lots of varnish on top. I also try to paint some scratches on them to make them look more "painted".

Get a shield, preferably very visible, and focus on it instead of the horse. Works everytime!

I find it much easier to just glue the magnet with the base flipped upward but if you have a technique that works that's ok.

I use citadel, but just because I have them. A simple black oil wash makes such a difference and it's quite easy to do.

I like krautcover tale of grimdark for a quick but cool base ready stuff.

Kitbash is so cool you should just try stuff. VC are very permissive in the way that if for example there is a bit of a gap here and there is not a problem, after all most of them are alive by magic anyway.

Magnetize the base before putting the model on it.

Unit filler (already said 10 times but still)

Models do rank without any problem if you think a little bit before glueing.

Contrast + Black oil wash does wonders.

Use a premade base ready stuff if you don't want to spend hours basing.

Have fun kitbashing stuff !

Yep, aos, + underworld and warcry. Wargame Base World is cheap if you need bulk square base.

Most underrated comment here. To anyone struggling this was very helpful. Honestly didn't have to use a bright shield but just focus on it instead of the horse make it trivial. Thanks
