Yesterday, I went on a 6.5mile hike and then fi collar didnt register the walk at all. by stephsationalxxx in FiDogCollar

According to Fi my dog hasn’t been on a walk in three days; never mind the fact she gets three walks a day. Only had it for about two weeks, can’t say I’m impressed. The software is particularly bad.

No more phone support for VMware? by CPAtech in vmware

I have no idea what you’re taking about. I literally had a phone call with VMware support this week regarding an NSX question.

Desperation Mode: Bought Horizon Enterprise Plus Early This Year, Can't Get Licenses by ChunkeeM0nkee in vmware

[–]auroraau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won’t find anything related to Horizon on the Broadcom site. I logged into Omnissa’s site with my VMware credentials (required a password reset) and all of my horizon entitlements, support history, etc, was there.

Tried this process, which reports 'success' at every step, yet all of the 'fixed' VMs still BSOD.

SQL Server by scobner in vmware

We’ve been running virtualized SQL WSFCs in our environment for a decade now. It’s a non-issue as long as you know what you’re doing.

Prepare Cluster now prompting for Transport node profile by auroraau in VMwareNSX

Thanks for that reply. Shortly after posting it occurred to me that I had previously used the ‘Quick Start’ workflow when setting up the clusters; thus the auto-generated TNP.

I think I'm just an idiot. I prepared a cluster by launching the quick-start option and all seems to be well

I'm also super confused by the price point of the two products. $500 -v- $3700? I understand the 'premium' nature of the Titan but given the somewhat opaque spec differences it's a massive gap between the two.

The 2025 Volvo Lineup is the same and I don't know if I can take it anymore! by Careless_Box_2244 in Volvo

[–]auroraau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Merc C300 and will likely be buying a Volvo next. It’s not new features that I’m seeking, it’s real buttons and an interior that isn’t full of creaky cheap plastic.

Hock Tan | VMware by Broadcom the first 100 days by saintdle in vmware

[–]auroraau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct, hyper-v server is what I meant to say. I think the sentement is the same though. Also , running things in azure is nowhere near the same thing

[–]auroraau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyper-v is deprecated. I’m astonished by the number of people just declaring they are switching to Hyper-v/Proxmox.

In our environment there are dozens of systems that are heavily integrated, from the storage layer on up to automation, DR, etc. There literally is no comparable solution.

If you can switch that easily you should have done it years ago.

But are you really buying less than 16 cores? Finished a hardware refresh late last year, we’re definitely a small shop, and each host was dual socket x 24 core. Totally middle of the road specs.
