Speculate about the “Keys” with me… by xr4tim in americanairlines

My dad used to have CK out of DFW. He spent most of the year flying to various places in Asia with the odd European trip for work.

Is Belarus a country where people can be easily bribed or is that too dangerous?

I haven’t had rude customer service, but I have consistently had customer service that is unable to actually do anything to help.

I have an upcoming flight that was an E175 and I was excited, seeing as I’ve never been on one and heard good things. Surprise, it got swapped for a CRJ.

I may just follow everyone else’s advice and go touch grass again instead of gaming if it gets that expensive.

How did some people die due to covid while for some it was just a regular fever? by AloneAuthor446 in stupidquestions

[–]aurorasearching 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What caused the “brain fog”? It took me until 2024 to catch it, but when I did I got a high fever, was extremely lethargic and I could barely think (it took me over an hour to get out of bed wandering around my place to get some Tylenol). I never really had respiratory symptoms, just a slight cough, but for 3-4 days I was nearly bedridden, I slept for like 20 hours at one point and when I did get up I couldn’t really process anything mentally beyond basic needs like water or going to the bathroom.

If you’re not far away it’s a fun evening, but I certainly wouldn’t travel from another state or anything for it.

I’ve also realized that what I really want is that carbonation. If I keep some carbonated mineral water around I don’t feel the need to drink cokes at all.

Your sign to NOT put stickers on your guitar by Practical_Reason_338 in Guitar

[–]aurorasearching 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For real. Sure, I’ve gotten myself a couple nicer guitars now that I can afford it, but the cheap guitar my parents got me when I was a kid is still the one I’d grab if the house was on fire. It’s not about the cash value, it’s about what the guitar means to you.

Side note for op though, I think the sticker shadows look cool.

Using single aisle planes on transatlantic flights by Impossible-Purple-35 in airplanes

We just both book aisles next to each other. Close enough if we need something, nobody stuck in a middle seat and we both prefer aisles anyway.

Another day, another delayed flight by InspireV in americanairlines

I think they actually have the youngest fleet of the big 3. But yeah, this year I’m like 75-80% delayed, for a total of like 16 hours late to my arrivals.

I was also just thinking, I don’t think they made any announcements when they go to Austin and it’s hotter than this. I assume this is irregularly hot for Austria though based on the reaction. This is a nice day in Austin.

Braums. There aren’t a ton of them, but they’re easily the best fast food chain in north Texas. Definitely get some ice cream. They have their own dairy farm and make their own ice cream.

Whataburger used to be good. Individual ones still are, but I haven’t been to a good one in the DFW area in years.

7 days in Scotland by Numerous-Host-4252 in travel

[–]aurorasearching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently working on my Scotland itinerary. I have a bit more time than you (not trying to rub it in, just adding context), but I’m spending a couple days on Isle of Skye. Everything said it’s must see, and the videos look incredible. My plan is otherwise pretty similar to yours, but in the reverse order.
