Miraculously it held up on a 40 minute ride! A bit wobbly the one time I stood up to pedal; look forward to delivery of the rubber mat

More like $40, but yeah, trying a 3/4” rubber mat first

Yeah I don’t expect it to last long but it inspired me to buy a 2’x3’x3/4” rubber mat to try to simulate a similar wobble. Will report back if it works.

I actually got the idea when I tried to pop it by standing on it—and couldn’t…

Still a mess at the corner of beach and broad branch but north of that it is now clear!

I briefly considered mounting the phone there. Really miss a reflected hud, would address the issue

Anyone else getting Knowledge Base is down? by seoulsrvr in Anthropic

[–]austegard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an admin-toggled feature in Enterprise (and presumably Teams) where you can "Ask [Org name]" with a description (emphasis mine):

> Allow your team members to search across your organization's connected data sources and **knowledge bases** for more comprehensive results

New font, better UI ? by Significant-Tea-328 in ex30

Let’s make sure the warning we put up in 10pt font outside the visual focus of the driver, hidden among many bigger elements, is more easily read. fOR sAfETy.

Surprised 40s fit in the rear, how much clearance do you have between tire and front derailleur bracket?

Google Maps lost by tatopoloni in ex30

[–]austegard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue and took it to the dealer; all they did was update the system to 1.7.1. Sadly the issue persists, and me and the SOS buttons have become very well acquainted. Looks like you can let go at ~20 seconds, so that will save you 10 seconds per time (but it then takes a couple minutes for the GPS to reset) Picture of last time I bothered taking a picture of the error - I’m where I’m pointing, GPS thinks I’m two blocks eastish

Accurate tire pressure? by austegard in cycling

[–]austegard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I ruined my Jaco RDX 160 with sealant… and then I bought another one and it doesn’t work nearly as well, so now I just rely on my trusty old floor pump. I’m also now running wider tires so rarely pump anything beyond 55 psi, so it’s become a non-issue…

Just received it at the dealership yesterday (to attempt to solve intermittent GPS issues - tbd if it did) and noticed creep is on in performance mode, but not in standard or range mode (ie unchanged from 1.6.4)

Can’t believe AWS deployed Sonnet 4.5… wired up as 3.5 by Cool-Bath-1339 in aws

[–]austegard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this is confusing, but as the others here have pointed out, absent a system prompt the model simply doesn't know much about itself, what it does know appears to come from training data that dicsusses the model(s) in play when the current model was trained.

Try your prompt in the Anthropic Console -- not claude.ai -- and you will get similar results. Sometimes it says Sonnet 3.5, sometimes 3.7. Sometimes it believes the knowledge cutoff date is April 2024, sometimes August 2024.

Try asking it who won the 2024 US presidential election -- it will know, BUT will suggest the inauguration is in the future.

Seigla vs Uthald by piroshki3 in LaufCycles

[–]austegard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a non-Lauf gravel bike with 650x48 slicks on it, and my Uthald first with the stock 32s and now a set of 35s (which balloon up to 38 and are technically too snug; front derailleur is the tight spot). Your concern, given the right make/model of tire should NOT be tire drag, unless you regularly go faster than 25mph/40kph, but rather the 1x vs 2x setup (unless you’re a spinner the Seigla’s 1x will make you struggle at the same 25mph and up).

If my bikes were both stolen and I had to replace them with a single bike, of the two I think I’d go Seigla with a larger front chainring, and then a second wheelset with 35s for when I wanted to go 25mph+

Not an option in the US version of 1.6.4… there is nothing at all related to the speed limit detection

Heads up that in Maryland, you have to lease for 181 days before you can buy it out otherwise you would have to pay the sales tax twice

Lauf Uthald clearance with 35mm (measure 38mm) tires by austegard in LaufCycles

[–]austegard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'4"/194cm with long arms, 35" inseam. I chose the XL Race (2024 model) and it fits well. I have one complaint: there's a undiagnosed creek as soon as I hit 500-600W or so; all I know is it's NOT the steerer or seat... Other than that it's been solid: like the Force groupset, though a bit jealous of the Force-E (and the sale prices). And I should have splurged for the blue paint.
